Um... the CC licnese is a non revocable one. You put it under CC, now its under CC. (BTW, you put the emote is under CC not the characters) I personally don't see why you wouldn't want them/the emotes under CC. That means more people can use the emotes.
They still attribute you.
No one claims it as their own creation except you.
Under the license you had it under no one can use it for commercial purposes.
People can make derivative works of it. Although I don't see that as bad. Fan art is awesome, no? But the CC license allows you to change it.
The foxes are still yours, but the emote is under CC. That means you still own full copyright and everything over the foxes. Its just that you've made it possible for a LOT more people to use the emotes.
Here is an example of what I mean. Lets say a professional furry forum was just recently created and now they are on the look out for emotes. They find yours. If you still kept full copyright over them, they would have to not only ask you for permission, but get you to sign an ass load of papers saying that you are allowing them to use them.
With Creative Commons, all they have to do is just find them and upload them to their own server. As I have already said they won't own them, they will say that the emotes were made by you and would more then likely have a link to your dA page.
I mean, as an artist, isn't having others see your work an important thing?
Anywho, if you really want to clarify that you own the foxes, just say the characters are (c) you in the artist's comment field.
