I apologize. I'm just very opinionated when it comes to ponies. I don't see them as a couple but who knows? Maybe I will eventually. But I prefer Dashie with Fluttershy or Spitfire.

That's your opinion. If I date a Soarin x RD shipper I'll change my mind, but until that day comes, I'm not supporting it. Nor am I being the ship police and saying it's trash like people say about LyraBon, because there's no such thing as gays in Equestria. Even though Scoots' aunts are confirmed to be a couple.

She's kinda flirted with mares too. And she could have danced with any stallion or mare, if she really loved Soarin, why wasn't he her Plus one at the gala? As for the bed, she woke them all up, we just saw her in Soarin's bed because it was his point of view. I'm not saying the ship is illogical but I'd prefer their relationship stayed platonic.

va may never appear officially shpis with the mane six ..but still glad to have some tips from my opt: D and Soarin know this can even closer to SPITFIRE more if they are romantically to Hasbro at least had to give tip ..with Dash at least gave some tips (not wanting to crush expectation of anybody or offend the ship I'm only an information and do not get me wrong most if not want to call what I say okay as light as you want I said (but kind of what I said is true .-.))

It's alright. I understand. Lots of ships have hints here and there. All I'm saying is just because a ship has hints doesn't mean it's canon. Just because it's likely, I imagine FIM will end before anything major happens between them, or possibly Rainbow and Fluttershy (although that has even more hints than Soarin/RD).

Indeed. They are friends but I dont think Soarin is in the friendzone of Dashie. I think a romantic relation between they will work!
But is a kids show! Is not a priority to give hints to a romantic relationship! n.n

Unfortunately, I imagine Soarin joining in on the teasing if only to make him more flawed out of peer pressure. I like Soarin, just not as a love interest for Rainbow Dash. I'd prefer she was with Fluttershy or my OC.

I do kinda ship Rarity and Spike though, but that's because the show itself ships it. I doubt Rainbow if she did have a crush on Soarin would admit it in one episode. Doesn't a relationship generally take several seasons to blossom and doesn't start with a simple "I love you!"?

sorry for butting in, but I just had to say that nopony's perfect! besides, they all explained that the teasing was good-natured (although I still don't agree with the teasing) and RD came to accept that and was comfortable fitting in, so let her be!

just like you said, a relationship needs time to blossom, and for us shippers, episodes like these are the blooming relationship!

i respect that you like Sparity and Soarin'Shy more, i also think it's a cute ship! in fact, i also think Dumbell/Dash could also work! mainly bc of a really nice fanfic heh but yeah, i just prefer Soarin'Dash

When did I say I liked SoarinShy? I meant to say I like FlutterDash and Sparity. And I don't really like Sparity so much as I tolerate it as a crush, because it's cute. I personally ship Rainbow with my OC Crimson Azure (who my story for him is that he attended the same flight school as Rainbow Dash despite being a unicorn in Cloudsdale because he thought he could fly) but to each their own. And also by "she" I meant Rainbow Dash, not Soarin.

I understand Soarin isn't perfect, but you know I'm sick of people treating him like a golden boy that can do no wrong and in some fanfics act as Dash's conscience when he's flawed like her. I thought him joining in on the teasing be it out of peer pressure or not was probably the thing that episode did right. I wasn't a fan of that episode if only because I felt the Wonderbolts were being a little too mean to Dashie.

Then give some criticism to those fanfics! Or just ignore those and read better fanfics like I usually do.

Yeah, that's where the episode was kinda mean? But then again, correct me if I'm wrong, RD didn't tell them that it was bugging her until at the end of the episode, so the Wonderbolts' wouldn't have known that 'Crash' reminds her of her being bullied back then.

I watched the episode again, and while my point stands about the Wonderbolts being kind of mean, I see Soarin only seemingly joined out of peer pressure and it was nice to see the other Wonderbolts had nicknames too. (Spitfire's nickname is going to be bothering me for a while)

Also about Soarin'... I think his teasing went like this: "Clipper clipper clipper, faster than lightning..." (You might be too young to get the reference)

And I'm just used to reading a lot of bad SoarinDash fanfics which considering I don't ship them in the first place has really soured my opinion of the ship. At first it was only a ship I didn't support but after reading all those fanfics, I can't stand it.

And true enough, Rainbow Dash didn't tell them, but that's probably because Rainbow Dash was too depressed to talk about it and coping with it in other ways (like imitating her friends).

I liked the episode a lot more on my second viewing and think it's my personal favourite of the season at this moment. Even though the humour was kind of wonky, I still liked it. And I could relate to both Dash and Soarin in the episode (Soarin because I've done some mean things without meaning to out of peer pressure, not going to talk about it because it makes me uncomfortable, and I was bullied by both my peers and teachers who either did nothing or bully me worse).

It'd be unfair to dislike SoarinDash because of the bad fanfics, though, but I understand. I used to dislike shippings because it was mainstream, and because of it's rabid fans. Disliking it it because it was mainstream was silly, and I try to ignore those kinds of fans these days.

Yep, that's also a possibility! I guess most of us just like giving the episode the benefit of the doubt.

OK, basically there was a show on Nickelodeon back in the early 80s late 70s called Flipper about a dolphin that was like a super hero. That was a reference to the theme song. I wasn't around back then either but I've heard of it through other people and watched an episode online.

I have a feeling Spitfire's name was a cuss or something, given the Wonderbolts are based off the military. Maybe she was a bed wetter?

And I generally don't mind ships, but Soarin/Rainbow Dash kinda irked me because it's got art all over the place, more art than most other ships and even if you want to avoid it there are pictures of Soarin and RD's kid, marriage, all over Deviantart and Derpibooru.

I'm apparently one of the fee Rainbow Dash fans who liked this episode, a lot of fans really hated it because they feel Dashie was out of character for most of it.
