Whew! This took way longer than I expected. Maybe I was distracted; this wasn't all that complex in terms of posing or construction...

But speaking of reflecting on the past, this is bringing up a "story arc" I was exploring with last year's prompts; Chrysalis finding someone who truly loves her. I never did reveal who I had in mind, and I'm still technically dodging the question, but I may have left a hint in her great (great) grandchildren there.

Also, drawing them all cuddled up to her while she snuggles them close was far more fun than it had any right to be. They're just so damn cute.

EDIT: Added hair shine and some shine to the gemstones on Chrysalis's neck.
