Figured it was about time I redid this.

Name: Gertrude (Gert, Boxxy, Trudy)
Age: 16 or 17
Gender: Female
Height: 5'8"
Body type: Not big, but certaintly not dainty either. Broad shoulders. Right leg is somewhat gimpy in appearance.

Personality/About/etc.:
Shy and awkward. She has a permanent blush on her face 24/7, intensifies with strong emotion (fear, anger, shock, etc). She dislikes human connection so much that she'll outright dissapear before allowing someone to come near her. Almost as if she wasn't there to begin with, and was only part of your imagination.... or maybe that's just the fog playing tricks on your mind.
Doesn't have much of a sense of humor, jokes going over her head for the most part. She seems somewhat simple-minded, not having much to say on many topics and not knowing about much of the world outside of her day-to-day things. She's not stupid, but she seems a tad slow to catch on to strange things, usually just not noticing them unless it's directly affecting her.

Chepe:
She treats him as one would treat a semi-annoying little brother. Being in what she figures to be something akin to a horror movie, she's decided that looking after the hyperactive little kid is something that someone ought to do.
The reason she doesn't hide from him is (1) because he's already seen her without her box, and (2) because she doesn't really see him as much of a threat.
Despite feeling the need to look out for him, should any other competitors come by, she'll dissapear. This isn't to say she won't do anything to aid him in a fight, however..

Box:
Box is a box she found outside of a greengrocer many years ago. She stuck a pin to it and has had it ever since.
Despite knowing full well that Box is an inatimate object, she treats it something of a close friend, looking out for it and being distraught when without it. (She doesn't speak to it, though. She's not THAT crazy >n>)

History:
Ask her where she's from or what her life's like, and you'll never get a straight answer. That's not to say she won't answer you at all, though.
She's something of a rather creative pathalogical liar, and will immediately respond with some crazy short answer to any questions. Ask her some more, and she'll elaborate on it. Most of these lies are situated in fantasy, though elements such as scissors, forks, knives and doppelgangers seem to repeat themselves often, despite how many different versions of her stories crop up...

Recent life:
Gert's life is one of a wanderer. She has no real home, travelling from city to city, no destination in mind. She's been doing this for a few years now.
A few months previous to the events of Wisp, she found herself taking refuge in an apartment building, or more specifically, a bedroom in someone's apartment (her greatest skill is to be unseen and unnoticed, which she gets away with suprisingly well). However, this boy noticed her.
After a slightly rocky start (with events including Gert's repeated return, and the boy's assumtion of his own insanity, as he was the only one to notice her. Ever.), they became a presence in eachother's life, and Gert seems to have found a somewhat permanent home, as well as a friend.

Motivation to win:
Her friend was, despite being rather energetic in his demands for her to leave at first, somewhat lethargic and melancholy often. It was apparent that this was a recent turn in events, as his friends always called him out to get his ass out of his house and stop shutting everything out.
Recently, Gert found a box lying in his closet and, having nothing to do and impervious to the idea of privacy, looked through it. Inside were love notes, gifts only a girl would think of, and a photograph of the boy and a beautiful girl making silly faces towards the camera.
When she asked about it, she was told that the girl was his girlfriend, who's life was tragically cut short by a car accident on the way home from his house one day. He's blamed himself for her death, as coming over that day was his idea. He and Gert never really talked about it again.

In Wisp, learning about the prize of the contest, Gert has the decided that the least she could do for her friend is to win back his girlfriend and make him happy again after all he's done for her.
