Description
Many thanks to my wonderful model.I have worked quite hard on this dress and I finally finished it. 90% of it was completed in the last 3 months. Everything is hand made(all rings were coiled and cut by me)
Some wonderful stats on the dress:
Material: Bright Aluminum
Weight: ~5.5 pounds
Total work hours to complete : 210
Weaves used: European 4 in1 and European 6 in 1 (neck)
Leather Lace is used as the tie for the back of the dress(and back of the neck)
Total rings: 17507
Neck - 715 rings, 18g swg, 1/4" ID
The rest - 16g swg, 7/32" ID

The work is great and the model is lovely! I have to say, this really does make me wonder about lining a leather jacket with chain maile--this definitely seems light enough and doesn't appear to be bulky, but I bet it would be fairly practical when it comes to slash and stab protection.

Well this is made out of aluminum and would give little to none protection. Stainless steel would be much better if you are looking for added protection. It is also about 3 times heavier than aluminum.
