That was a fashion crime decade,it competes the 80s ,just with less color and more dangerous shoes.
I actually messed up my ankle with those platform things, why did I ever want to wear that? Then again, maybe in 10 years I will laugh at myself in 2009

Now if I can have THAT body again... I'd be happy!

I think we can agree that we can overlook the haircut, yes?
Have you tried swimming?I did competitive swimming when I was little, and started again when I was 17. In the first week I lost 14 pounds. It's crazy on your body,I wasn't used to effort in the water anymore, but you have to push through the "crap I'm gonna die drowned here! " part.

The most suicidal one is freestyle with breathing every 5 strokes. Was that too technical?
If you're not trained, and you hold your breath longer, the heart rate will go up and things will burrrrn. Or you can just try swimming butterfly and actually drown in the process

Swimmers have amazing bodies! I should really get my arse in gear and swim more. Our gym has a MASSIVE pool, but I wouldn't take my shirt off in a public place in my current condition. Maybe one day

Be brave, the sooner you do,the sooner you get the abs.Swimming is pretty much a guarantee for instant tightening, and since I'm pretty sure you eat right too,it's gonna be even easier

LOL! Well, the two pieces of chocolate cake I had a few minutes ago will disagree with you on that!
I am eating a lot better than I used to though and my "Did you eat a bowl of STUPID for breakfast" t-shirt is sitting a lot less tight today than it used to. So I'm heading in the right direction

haha! fantastic t-shirt!
chocolate is an athlete's best friend really.gives energy and burns easily. See, I'm very useful for finding excuses xD Lot of experience with it haha
True story though, when you get out of the pool you will starve.Choc is usually better before, and red meat about 30 mins after.Helps muscle mass building too

Though I have to tell you,I can easily pass on the fat soaked kind. Sure Burger King lures me in every now and then, but I couldn't eat that too long

I gotta be honest with you: other than chocolate (has to be dark chocolate too), I am not really a sweets person. I prefer savoury snacks. Give me quiche or something like that, and I'll wolf it down!

You can blackmail me with winegums and the whole Haribo-ish range, but not may other sweets.
Quiche isn't junk food tho. It's almost going into the healthy range. Speaking of which,I'm a sucker for sushi. It should not be this easy to manipulate a person with food!!!

ek weet,ek weet...
I made some last week, and was convinced I could feast on it for at least 3 days. Wrongly calculated,as I ate it all in a day and still needed more. It's a drug, and when you get sushi cravings ,you can't diminish it with anything

Don't be! They make it sound worse than it is! We live in Johannesburg and it's an awesome place to live! Yes, there is crime, but every city has it's crime. It's not like we live in Gang Land or have people dying in the streets... it's not that bad, seriously.
And yes, we'll provide the choc, you provide the sushi and Shane will make sure we don't eat ourselves to death!

IoanaZ In reply to FuzzyYak [2009-09-01 12:30:04 +0000 UTC]
That's good then.Everyone proudly invokes the "oh look,we're top10 crime city" which isn't really a help for tourism.
But I get it,we have a gypsy issue here, and yes they do crimes but they whole overdramatisation is just that. If you live here you know it's not gonna be your end,so I guess it's the same there then
Now,is that fare to Shane? Look at us eat? I think a 4th person (of less importance ) should be found, who looks at 3 happy eaters

Yah, absolutely! Look, I'm not saying that there aren't places where it's very very dangerous, but we live in the suburbs and it's fantastic here. I love this city. Of course I would be so much happier in Cape Town, but hey... whatchagonnado!?
You are right, of course. *looks up "Post Overeating Sitter" in the Yellow Pages. Hmmm.

re-reading my post,I can proudly proclaim it was written during a braindead period. I seem illiterate...but moving on
I'm thinking the fact that you've survived pretty unharmed for more than 2 decades confirms the fact that it's not at deadly. I'll never get peoples passion for making their country look worse than it is.At least pimp it up in a good way. I think you should just look for an s&m person and give them clear instructions when to use the whip haha
btw,did i see a facebook group of yours? I shall move myself towards it and join, especially if it has all your photos in it

Yep! People thrive on the misery of others. We're a sad species, really.
Unfortunately smart people are terribly outnumbered, yes. Lots of clever ones, not enough smart ones.

IoanaZ In reply to FuzzyYak [2009-09-01 19:25:03 +0000 UTC]
that's a pretty good observation,as many clever ones really are convinced they're smart, and many informed ones think they're intelligent. and the really smart ones sit and observe and have the occasional outburst when they really can't take it anymore

LOL! There's a saying: it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys.
I have a shortened version: "Gobble! Gobble!"

IoanaZ In reply to FuzzyYak [2009-09-02 18:35:39 +0000 UTC]
That gives me the best visual
Especially since I've always envisioned turkeys as the slowest of the bunch. Mildly retarded and proud of it.
There's a book I read called "How I became stupid" about a guy who decides he'd be better off as an idiot and tries to drink himself to stupidity but slips into an alcoholic coma after half a beer.
We hurt...we hurt...and we still can't become stupid

Snazzy and with lots of movement, this image just says "cool" to me. I like the slight green tinge to the image...it gives the background a blue-to-yellow look that I always thought was cool. It's subtle, too, not overwhelming, so the image is still solid and classy. I really like it!
