You know, the lighting and high contrast really work well here. The fact that his arm creates a bridge between his upper and lower back is an effective use of negative space in the shot. Well done.

This is good, but... IMHO there is too much shadow in his lower back and right arm. Maybe you could try a white reflector panel at subject left to bounce a little light into that area. You could probably adjust the level in PS but that would blow the highlight on his upper back and neck out. I generally prefer to shoot "clean" to save PS time. I really like the rim effect. Even so, you have done his body justice. Well done. So when do we see the front shots?

Thanks for the feedback, Roger. In these shots, I always try to get a nice amount of shadow on the model. I think filling the area on his back wouldn't have the same feel as the image has now? You have a valid point, but I don't know if that necessarily works for the type of images I like?

Hmmm... I get your point, it's just that the lower back on any body with a bit of muscle definition (male or female) is very sexy. The dimples above the butt, the hollow of the spine between the two erector muscles... I prefer to light just enough to see shape there. My preference.
