He's great! How a "simple" pose (detail) makes a good photo! Good tones/contrasts and light. Well done.

I'm buggered if I know what it is, but all portraits should be B/W. nice one.

Nope. Maybe the color distracts you from the person in the shot? maybe it's just 'cos they look more "classical"? Not sure.

Sensual as usual, the colours are great. I guess it feels in a way that you made the photo aged on purpose for a better effect or is that me? Anyway I like it.

I want to marry this picture.
It just works on every level.
Youve left detail in his skin and it just looks great.
The black and white add an extra depth to it.

See? I only do skin smoothing when it's "necessary"
On a serious note, Laaaa! (G flat). I actually wanna stop doing skin smoothing altogether. It's not always easy though.

BWHAHAHAH.
That was seriously cheesy but awesome too. LOL.
Apparently, its a very European thing.
Like Nolan Lister ? He does a lot of biggish shoots and after chatting with him he mentioned that people know that "photoshopped skin" and its no longer a good thing. But you did it perfectly here.
Keep it up

FuzzyYak In reply to Kyrelimit [2010-01-24 19:31:46 +0000 UTC]
Yes, but it was low fat cheese
What's a European thing? Skin smoothing?
I just need to find a decent way of doing it without it looking "too much"
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Kyrelimit In reply to FuzzyYak [2010-01-24 19:39:22 +0000 UTC]
Yeah. European thing is like little to no skin smoothing. Just major blothch removal kinda thing.
Apparently.
Fake is no longer cool.
Im not sure what your technique entails but, all I do is I healing-tool the fuck out of the image.
Duplicate it.
Do my normal skin smoothing, and then just reduce the opacity of it.
So the original detail shows.

FuzzyYak In reply to Kyrelimit [2010-01-25 05:19:27 +0000 UTC]
What do the Europeans know anyway?!
Fake will ALWAYS be cool! Reality is overrated. People don't want to see flaws, they want perfection. They STRIVE for it.
My technique is pretty much the same. I tone it down quite a bit though. on this shot, I didn't do any though.
