It actually looks like Derpy is holding up a sign rather than Pinkie Pie saying this.
Of course, it's not a proper speech bubble; so 9 out of 10 who saw this will think that.
It's surprising, though, that Rarity would be shocked at the news that Prince Blueblood would be married, considering how much of a jerk he was towards her. You'd think she wouldn't even care, or be like "What!? Who would want to marry a pompous twit like HIM!? I pity the poor mare!"

I might do a picture of ponies on the subway, already got one reference picture.
The train station is elevated near my house and the train comes in on a curve when its heading uptown.
If I remember I will take a picture and use that as reference.
