Description
According to legend, she is called the "harlot spider" or "entwining bride." She is a spider said to have bewitching powers and terrible venom. Many stories tell of those who fall asleep under the web of jorogumo having strange and horrible dreams.Today it is known that jorogumo is just a common, nonvenomous, garden spider known for it's large size and distinctive markings... Or perhaps this is just what she would have us believe.

I'm not trying to be patronizing, I'm just asking how that'd be possible if that were the case. Also, aren't they long lived spiders that become shapeshifting witches? Of course, no spider lives to be 400 years, since many spiders only live for 1-3 years. Then again, goliath birdeaters live for up to 25 years
