My first entry in the #SKRATCHJAMS ! Finally got around to it. I hope I'll make my participation a regular thing.Concept: Superman (DC) redesign
Medium: .5 blue pencil | .3 mech pencil | sai | photoshop cs4
I'm not a fan a superman. Too goody goody soilder boy for my tastes. But I AM a fan of the 5oclock shadow having superman who killed Lex (implied) in that one DC game trailer.

I don't like superman because his weakness is absolutely rubbish and a five year old with a kryptonite pebble could kill him, so he's largely overrated, but that is a FANTASTIC cloak. Not sure about the blue pelvis area + black trousers though. Probably should go for full black or blue trousers only. Just a thought

I was thinking of that too Actually. Tried it out while finishing, but decided on the black blue and dark blue in the end. A few others I could've tried, none being better than the other. I might just switch this one for the one without the lighter blue though.

As a Superman fan, there is little I like more than pissed off Superman.
A great redesign, I love the shoes and the way the red wraps around the shirt collar.
I'd say that glowing, red eyes would really add to the "I'm about to kick your a**" look, but I like the blue (and there's already enough red in there).

Capes are ubiquitous too, no? Over the shoulder or right below the shoulder line. I like to think the long coat is the lesser of the two evils myself

Hahaha, I don't think I have a good sense to tell when long coats have been in or not concerning popular fads. Since I've had a love/obsession for long coats since I was a kid: Long coats, fedoras (particularly tilted to the side), wallet chains (or anything hanging like that) and wifebeaters.
