Vidcaps. You see the head shown from all different angles in movies. It's the easiest way to get a profile picture. Check a fansite of the actor/actress, and they'll have a vidcap section in the gallery.

friend, fygomatic
your technology is a beginning
a beginning of redefinition of "celebrity"
as such, as realism of render increase, we may not distinguish between a true photo or true render of celebrity.
in future, we may see render of celebrity, but it appear as real photo despite the nature of it illusion. these render will increase in number, to level of critical mass.
when critical mass of such realism renders is reach, there will be much confusion as to what celebrity did or did not do...as all is posted on internet for all to see. we then witness destruction of current definition of "celebrity"

Hi, thanks! It's 3D, I take a digital model and customize it, then pose and take a picture of it. I use a program called Poser, and their website probably explains it better than I can: [link]

Thanks for your help, it is a new world for me, I can manipulate my photographs on that program? or is to create 3d.
you do post production for photographs?
thank you very much

It's nothing like photomanipulation. The only time you use photos in 3d is to create the skin for your 3d human model.
Daz Studio is just as good as Poser, and it's free. You could download that to get a feel for what 3d is about:

great work, inspired me to try the same If I may ask, how long do you need for each character and how do you texture them? Do you take skintoned colors or actual pictures and paint them on the objects?
π: 0 β©: 1
Fygomatic In reply to Thefastmaster [2012-04-22 06:28:17 +0000 UTC]
Thanks! Characters usually take around 2 weeks.
As far as texturing, I create my texture map from photos. I'm not sure how familiar you are with 3D, but the texture map is a one time thing. Once I create that texture map, it acts like a skin for the character.

2 weeks.... my god, no wonder I aint getting anywhere in just one day trying Know that about textures, but I imagine it hard with pictures from the real celeb, cause that would mean having those from all different angles in the same lightning tone. Respect for that
But after the changes are you able to pose the face expression or are you stuck with that one? Because if not I would be interested how. Tried poser pro once (as you use that i think), gave it up (too complicated) and just use c4d with maxwell

Fygomatic In reply to Thefastmaster [2012-04-23 02:29:10 +0000 UTC]
It's the same process you'd do with any Poser texture, whether you're doing a celeb or not. You try to use evenly lit source photos and blend out any strong lighting detail when you're making the texture. It'll have the same expressions as any Poser character.

Sounds really hard right now. Well, I guess I have still some time till I get to the texturing-process But really thanks for the answers and the inside-information
