Okay so Heather is my mom. And mother dearest doesnt really know her shit yet when it comes to trans people, as in (transphobia) she thinks that trans women are just trying to get into womens restrooms, trans men are just butch, or tom-boys, and all enbys are afab. The one that matters for this is she thinks all enbys are afab

Cy is short for Cyprian, which, phonetically those sound nothing alike. My mom is the type that thinks “boys and girls cannot -just- be friends, and should not sleepover” (im afab)

In the past when ive mentioned Cy i obviously used their pronouns, (they/them) and never said anything that would allude to their saab. Because im normal. But mother dearest picked up on them being enby, and made the assumption that they’re afab. So when i told her i was spending the night at their place it didnt bother her. (She has never seen Cy either)

now Cy and i are gonna be roommates in the fall, and my mom still hasn’t met Cy. And this is where the story of this comic actually happens.

i was standing in line for the elevator, i was moving stuff out of my dorm and my mom was right behind me, Cy was coming up the stairs to come hangout with me and our friends, but i made such eye contact with them that they just knew that it was in fact my mom behind me. They didn’t say a word and quickly walked away… then pinged our entire discord server frantically saying “ONLY CALL ME CYPRIAN TILL HEATHER LEAVES” because the fuckin’jig would be up otherwise!!! Zinc (other homie in the comic) did not know about this and thats how their interaction went. After my mom left i saw the ping and we all had a good laugh about it.
