Thank you! :3
Although today the face would look more polished I think :-/
But I'm too lazy to redraw it ^^°

Thank you!
although I think if I would redo this, the face would be the part that I would change the most ^^

Thank you very much.
I think it's because it's a little old already and I'm not the most popular artist here ^^°

Beautiful technique and genre-mix! I am loving how realistic you made this look! The hands are my favourite part, but the whole thing is amazing

Thank you... the hands were the easiest part in fact... probably because I could do the shading more realistic than in her face :3

Looks good to me, but know the feeling I work with hyperrealism, so perhaps if you have some questions you can ask me :9 Have no idea if it will be good advice as your style is different, but - it's an offer

Thank you for your offer
I will keep that in mind... alas mostly I work out of my head and simply try to do my best, without using refs or help because I'm too lazy for that :'D
But if I have any questions with which you possibly could help me, I will ask you

That's what I like best, too, and it takes a high amount of skills to imagine what things look like - so I sure think you're the opposite of lazy!

Fynwe In reply to LadyChristina [2011-10-05 10:47:55 +0000 UTC]
Haha no I really am lazy... I don't like to learn things... that's why I never really "learned" to draw or paint.
If you're working like me, then your imagination is reaaaaaaaaaaally great! *_*

I don't work like you, I have been drawing things exactly like they are for years, and have only recently begun to use that knowledge and use my imagination - that was always my goal, but I just hated it when I couldn't get things onto paper as I imagined them, and then I thought I'd have to learn a lot first, then my imagination would have the tools it needed

Ah I see. It's great that you could finally manage to reach a level of skill which can compete with your imagination!
I always had the feeling for myself, that my imagination grows with the skills I gained.
So each way was the right one for us, I guess

yes, it's very different from person to person, it's kind of funny, actually. Maybe it has to do with insecurity vs security - or perhaps even ability to remember shapes!

Dunno but I'm looking forward to see drawings from your imagination.

what did you use to help you see the actual outlines of the drawing? just pencil?

Fynwe In reply to vampiricnights [2010-08-05 06:58:48 +0000 UTC]
Yes, you're right, it was pencil
I just erased them, before colouring over them.

I like this picture very much. No outlines, looks very cool! Do you draw it first in pencil and erase the pencil marks after coloring?
