Wait, is this Pure Light universe? Wow, I'm looking forward to see how you fit this into that, how did Cynder turn evil, how is Spyro good (i think), how did The Dark Master take over the world?

No it's not related to Pure Light or any other fan comic.
And Cynder never "turned" evil... becuase you have to have been good in the first place to turn evil. MWAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!

Spyro has some really dark eyes here.
Probably my favourite part of this is the action of him angrily turning around. XD It looks surprisingly cute, like he's having a bit of a tantrum.
Also, I don't know why, but I find it rather humorous that he shouted in his mind the "where am I." Seems rather odd to do that, but not so unrealistic that I can't imagine someone doing it. XDΒ

The style is really nice, I know it's probably going to change but yis. c: Spyro's design suits well too, it's nice to see a bit of a more complex version of him implemented in a story, since a lot of stories seem to use a fairly basic or 'common' version of him. X3
And of course, this is a very wonderfully cheerful way to start a story~

The coloring style you chose for your comic is really, really nice. I'm sure it will fit the admosphere of the story perfectly. And does your adult design of spyro happen to be inspired 'a bittersweet end' spyro? Or is it just a coincidence?

Anyway. I already like this page, nice start. However, on a last note, a small bit of advice: are you using comic sans or a similair font for your text? Don't. It gives things an unprofessional look and a lot of people aren't fond of it.Β

Did some googling. I didn't know "a bitter sweet end" was a comic! I was a little confused XD The only spyro comics I've read are Pure Light, accidental elemental, SK's comic, Feuriah's Dawn, and CASF's old comic.

The reason I'm using comic sans is because someone once told me too. And all the comics I own at home are comic sans ;-; but lately, everyone is giving me crap for it XD so im currently looking for a new font but nothing is jumping out at me :/.
The colouring style is not set in stone. Currently playing around with it in all the pages.

Also, spyros design is just my version of him. I wanted something darker and more resembling malefor than everyone else did.

If I may sujest a font, try 'anime ace' >>www.pickafont.com/images/fonts⦠this is the font real comic artists use. I cannot use it myself because I edit pages with an ipad program, so downloading your own fonts is out of the question. However I still really recommend it to anyone else.
And yes, keep playing around with styles, there is no better way of learning new things. Fancomics are a perfect excuse to try different things! With official comics you cannot get away with that xD

Β I've just recently read the Prelude and...damn, Spyro is REALLY into deep shit right now! I mean, not only does the world that he ''just'' saved has collapsed into darkness as long as he was out, but even CYNDER, his LOVE INTEREST, is now a villain, who has him in CHAINS, ready to USE him to serve her own ends....propably nothing good if you ask me.
Β Damn, talk about bathingΒ into despair! Β Of course, that makes me even more eager to see how could he possibly work his way out of this hell pit! It will surely be quite a show.Β (Come to think of it, Spyro has quite a talent of waking up in messed up situations)
Β As for the quality, I must say that it looks a little rushed. More details would be welcome ( considering the pictures you've already drawn(my point )). For the start however, is not that bad.
Β If there is one thing that reallyΒ bugs me with the design is the white in Spyro's eyes. If that is how you want him to be, fine, but if you're open for suggestions, I prefered them when they were likeΒ that .

The thing is, "Reign" is based on the idea that Spyro never saved the world in DotD

The story is set 20 years after DOTD, depicting the events of what would have happened if they had FAILED to defeat malefor. That's all im saying !
