Okay, this is actually a WIP, probably never to be completed. That's my explanation for the choppy sky and the incomplete whirlies.
It counts as one of the most enjoyable Magic assignments I've ever gotten. The description read, in full: "Show a black spell being disrupted by a blue spell." The rest were up to me. If you look closely you can find nine scary faces in the black stuff, getting torn asunder. (I think this was for the Torment deck.)

I have to tell you that this picture dazzles my mind every time it pops up on my favorites. I simply love the construction of it, abstract and exact at the same time, plus the glow of the light and concept. Hard to explain.

I'm a sucker for strong colors and color contrasts. One of these days I'll learn how to do things that are subtle and complex, but in the meantime, bring on the punchy color!!

dunno what the heck is this but the glow looks incredible, but if you wanted to make it look more shiny, you should have used more soft brushes in the edges i think, but i'm not anything like pro so take it or leave it
