Coalition [2014-12-06 20:10:50 +0000 UTC]

The outbreak was initially labeled as a zombie outbreak, but it was actually worse. The disease worked differently on men and women, causing women to let off a scent that told the affected not to attack. Men were either converted to zombies, or attacked and killed by them.

She didn't care at the moment. Her boyfriend was on the floor, being torn apart by her ex. She had tried shooting several of the attackers, but her gun was now empty, and several of the zombies had tried to attack her too, tearing the shirt her boyfriend had bought for her.

Now it was the only reminder of the guy who had cared for her, even as she watched him scream and get ripped apart. Over and over she thought, 'I should have saved a bullet for him'.

Caine-of-Nod In reply to G-David [2014-09-13 04:36:09 +0000 UTC]

It is a compliment. There's nothing like a nearly naked chick killing zombies. Reminds me of White Wolf's old Role-playing game "Hunter: The Reckoning"

G-David In reply to Caine-of-Nod [2014-09-13 19:35:08 +0000 UTC]

but you said it's horrible
maan, I remember that game, hunter: the reckoning! I used to love that game, it's from around 2004/2005 I think. but I still remember clearly that game was ruining my assignments back in collage XD.

Caine-of-Nod In reply to G-David [2014-09-13 21:39:43 +0000 UTC]

Ya that's right it was a video game but before that it was a pen and paper rpg that had some great artwork on zombie killing action, among other things and monsters

G-David In reply to Caine-of-Nod [2014-09-16 17:17:50 +0000 UTC]

oh man!Β then I have to search for the artworks for it! do you by any chance have a link to their artworks collection?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Caine-of-Nod In reply to G-David [2014-09-16 19:36:11 +0000 UTC]

No I don't nor does anyone I imagine. I just have the books. Query, is it against DeviantART rules to scan artwork that is not your own?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

G-David In reply to Caine-of-Nod [2014-09-18 15:38:33 +0000 UTC]

wow, lucky you~
hmmm think it should be alright as long as you put the licensing and credits etc, since it's not for a commercial purpose.
but im not very sure about it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Caine-of-Nod In reply to G-David [2014-09-18 16:30:14 +0000 UTC]

I'll have to check around and see If there is anyone from deviantART that can officially give me the green light. If they do, I'll scan some of my favorite artwork of zombie action and more. Then you can give your opinion on it. Tell me if you think your work is better than White Wolf's or on the same level or not.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

G-David In reply to Caine-of-Nod [2014-09-29 11:19:01 +0000 UTC]

that should be awesome if you could post some of the artworks.
But I doubt my work is better than theirs, I remember they got amazing stuffs back then.
and it's difficult to judge our own works, don't you think so? the audience should do that, not the artist

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Caine-of-Nod In reply to G-David [2014-09-29 20:54:25 +0000 UTC]

That's true from a certain point of view. But you could also say that to be an artist is to also be an audience of other artist's artwork, eh?Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

G-David In reply to Caine-of-Nod [2014-10-11 05:16:26 +0000 UTC]

true, as an artistΒ we need to know what's good and what's bad, in a very objective manner.

simonpark81 [2014-09-12 10:12:31 +0000 UTC]

this is a brilliantly drawn piece, the detail and colouring are fantastic.
my only problem with this piece is;
she doesnt look very emotional. her expression looks kinda like she has just noticed she has to peg out the washing and let the dog out when she is in a hurry to get out the door. this piece seems to be aiming more for sheer terror, and i just didnt pick up on that kind of emotional vibe at all. otherwise, everything is really well done.

...also, whats the deal with all these half naked women i see these days with zombies?
i watched a zombie flick a while back and noticed this - so thought i would ask you, since you might know why
for me, personally, sex would be the last thing on my mind if the world was ending '28 days later' style.
seems everything with zombies in these days involves skimpily-clad ladies - and surely that is one step away from necrophelia?
im not trying to nock your work here, cos its inspirational. and i mean that. im amazed by your technical skills. im just wondering how come they always end up losing their clothes? surely zombies wouldnt bother about clothes, they want brains and meat.

hope you have a great day, and i really hope i have not offended you. im just honestly curious.

G-David In reply to simonpark81 [2014-09-12 20:01:02 +0000 UTC]

oh I'm very offended, and now I'm pissed off....

Just Kidding LoL

as for the expression and the concept, she's actually made to be a professional zombie-hunter, as you can see from her attire, she's geared-up.
that's why I didn't make her to look scared, she's about to reload her gun, and blast those zombie's brain

as for the sultriness, the person I made this piece for,Β loves this kind of sexy theme, that's why I made the the clothes ripped, you can visit her D.A. page, and you'll see~Β

well actually, if the world is ending like those zombie-apocalypse movie, if I get the chance to have sex, I'd love to take the chance. Fire arms are illegal in my country, so it'd be almost impossible to find one, and with just some melee weapons,Β I'd be dead sooner or later anyway, so why not dieΒ a bit happier XD LoL
have you tried to watch or play onechambara? I think itΒ has the most skin-showing-heroine in the zombie movie/games history XD but the games are actually kinda fun to play, itΒ looks very cool.

thank you for your compliment mate, I appreciate it, and have a great day to you too~

This is fantastic, how do you start a process like this?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

G-David In reply to Learningasidraw [2014-09-12 19:39:35 +0000 UTC]

Thank you~
well I justΒ did it like anyone else, starting with making couple of sketches, then make a tight pencil-page out of the sketch I like, and then coloring it

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Learningasidraw In reply to G-David [2014-09-13 18:31:19 +0000 UTC]

I suck at line work, what programme did you use for the line art? and did you use a pen type tool or a brush type?
Also do you work digital throughout the full process or do you start with a sketch on paper and scan it in?
Thanks

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

G-David In reply to Learningasidraw [2014-09-13 19:42:27 +0000 UTC]

really? you got to be kidding me, I see you got awesome paintings in your gallery, there's no way you suck at line work.
I just use pencils for the line art, and photoshop to clean it up, I cant really do digital sketch, so I do all my sketches and tight pencils on papers, and scans them.
as for the coloring, I just use a basic round brush, and some texture brushes for the blotches.
no need to thanks mate

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Learningasidraw In reply to G-David [2014-09-14 21:40:15 +0000 UTC]

Thanks but i have never really done much line work so im not great with it, especially in photoshop!
Your work is far beyond mine!
Do you mind me asking.. do you get a lot of work through your art?
also cheers for the watch!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

G-David In reply to Learningasidraw [2014-09-16 17:23:00 +0000 UTC]

I cant do line works with photoshop too, I used to use pencil too much I guess, the feeling of digital tablet is kinda awkward for me.
naah man, unlike you, I cant really do a straight painting, I need to have the line art first, otherwise it'd take me too long to finish.
well, the answer for your question is like a zen-like answer, life is like a wheel, sometime you go up, sometime you go down
luckily for me, lately,Β I got some works to pay the bills

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Learningasidraw In reply to G-David [2014-09-16 17:30:53 +0000 UTC]

Oh that's cool man, mind me asking where you get your work? as in do people just commission you over DA or do you use other websites, work for companies etc..
and do you do comic books etc

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

G-David In reply to Learningasidraw [2014-09-18 15:36:52 +0000 UTC]

yeah no problem mate,
well I got most of it from D.A.
D.A. is a good start to find a job, you might find plenty of offers here.
I don't work for any companies in particular, just a freelancer.
And I did a couple comic books for some clients, but haven't got published yet.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

jmkplover [2014-09-12 06:55:03 +0000 UTC]

is this part of a comic series? if so, it looks badass! excellent work.

i wonder why zombies rip the flesh off of guys but rip the clothes off of girls? hmm...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

G-David In reply to jmkplover [2014-09-12 19:37:36 +0000 UTC]

Thank you~
unfortunately, it's not a comic series, just an artwork.
as for the ripped clothes, well, of course becauseΒ she dodged the zombie attack... and for some naughty scene, as the client would like it to be
