I was gonna wait till the previous version hit 100 views before posting this, but figured that it didn't really matter. So hey, I learned how to get some decent shading done in Photoshop (spoiler alert: use the dodge tool to make a portion lighter and use the burn tool to make it darker). I think I can be fully satisfied now with how it looks now.
For those who haven't been playing along at home, this is Sadi, transformed into a snake-woman hybrid for the purposes of entertaining royalty in the 1958 Harryhausen classic The 7th Voyage of Sinbad.

As mentioned in the previous version, I've been working on animating this image and I'm almost done, all that's really left is working on the face and maybe fine-tuning the tail animation a bit more. Keep an eye out for that sometime in the near future.
