The topic this month was 'Vampire'. With so much to chose from, I tried to remove myself from some very obvious choices in subjects and pull a play out of left-field with a bit of role reversal.Am I completely happy with it?

Am I completely out of time?
Yes.

Hey, one of the things I love most about the league's heavyweight fights is that great drawing amongst its competitors is simply a given. It's had the effect of forcing me to stretch and tweak the very concepts I use in my compositions. I'm really enjoying it.

What are you not happy about?

Hmmm...well...many many choices go into composing a piece like this, from expression, design, background, lighting, and working the proportions and interactions of multiple figures (without a reference, might I add). I worked on this over the course of 1 entire day.
Now, I'm generally pleased with it, but I can't help wondering, given more time, if I could have made better choices. With the deadline looming, I had to make decisions seemingly on-the-fly and run with it. I'm used to taking my time and making major compositional changes as I change my mind.
Ah, well, such is the nature of working with deadlines. It's a learning experience for me. The point is to finish and I've done that.
Anyway, I'm grateful, as always. Thank you.

You would have changed a few things if you had more time but because the limited time you had make do with whatever was on the top of your head.
But yeah you cant change deadlines.
