Yeah, free time is the best reward, lol - in my job we had a system called "banco de horas" (hour bank, not sure if this woud be the english term) that if you do overtime in the next days (during a month) you could go home early to compensate those extra hours you worked or you could not use them and receive more in the end of the month, I always went home earlier, lol.

In China our right is not properly protected, overtime becomes compulsory in some situations. I always want to have an art or design related job, or a relaxing one, lol

In a lot of places overtime is compulsory in transitory and imprevisible situations... still the default being that the overtime is the exception, I dunno if in China overtime goes by these rules too. Around here the overtime is not something the boss want you to do, since it is payed with an additional of at least 50% over the normal hour and there is a limit of 2 hours that can be worked as overtime per day, to pass this limit some heavy shit must have happened and some negotiations will happen, otherwise the workers unions and the justice system will be knocking the door, lol.
Dunno how art works goes by, because I imagine art being something you do, share, and those that like it buy your stuff (and if you don't find anyone to buy you starve, lol) but the people I know that work with design stuff are always fucked, lol, with deadlines, artblocks and self-esteem problems since nothing they make appear to look good for the people that have to give the green light, so they have to change things they made or do it all again in a different way a lot of times.

Our law is used for some who are influential not for us. Nvm I think what you think might be the answer and I keep the simplest way of drawing, draw what I love only and do not accept commission.
