Seriously guys, don't play with fire xD
I guess this is just an excuse to draw more Super Mario 3D World themed art.

I do have the game in my possession now (finally), and have been playing it with a buddy
Did you notice that Luigi was the only one who wasn't red? Also, all of the characters had red fire, not the colored versions pictured here (Some of you were asking for the different fireball colors, and I thought it would be neat 
Anyway, this took longer than expected, but hope you enjoy nonetheless
~Just curious, but for those of you who own this game, which character(s) do you usually play as?

I like that Luigi's breathing fire like he does in the All-Stars version of Super Mario World. That's a nice touch.
Also, Luigi's going beyond the usual violations of the laws of physics the Mario Brothers are known for. And that's fine.

I love this comic as well! I just enjoy seeing the four heroes hanging out and playing with fire in different ways. I'm a sucker for casual art of people just hanging around and having fun, and seeing some of my favorite Nintendo characters doing it makes it all the better.
As for Super Mario 3D World, I don't own it, but I'd like to get it someday. I may have to buy a Wii U to play it; but if it's ported to the Nintendo Switch, I'll spring for the Switch version (don't dislike the Wii U in the least; I just want the new games and portability!

Great to see I'm not the only one who sees everyone able to shoot different color fireballs.

I usually play as Mario. before anyone says "he has no special abilities" he does. his controls are easy, which means he's well balanced. Luigi's jump doesn't go as smoothly as Mario's jump, for Luigi slightly slows down when he jumps (this is even more true in Super Smash Bros 4.) and Luigi's lack of balance can throw a player off, and he slides a little before stopping and that's not a good thing. and Mario doesn't do that. Peach's float isn't perfect, and she's very slow. Toad has a low jump, and Rosalina's spin attack will slow you down. Mario doesn't have those skills, so he doesn't have to worry about the penalties they give. not to mention that he's the only one who can wall jump in Super Mario 64 DS. that's a special ability.
