Let's just say that Mario's been through a lot and is tired after his adventure (hence the injuries) so he thought Rosalina was Peach. Well, they do look somewhat similar (That's what I thought when I first saw Rosalina, and I'm sure some of you thought that as well) But they do have their differences xD ..I dunno why Rosalina was in the same location as Peach, maybe Bowser finally kidnapped her too?
The moment when Mario finds out he has the wrong princess...

I remember when the 1st super Mario galaxy came out, on that same year, I wanted to draw a peach pic. When I printed out 2 with a staff (I used to go to a youth center), she printed out 1 that was Rosalina, but it said PEACH instead of her name. I was the only one in the center that knew that was Rosalina and peach. I was really pissed off about.
