Description
These were some warmup sketches that I had made prior to the finalized draft sketch shown before. The top draft is what I had ultimately chosen but I had aslo wanted to experiment with different stances, which was a quadrupedal and a bipedal just to see what results I would get. Just one of the adventures of conceptualizing

The first one is pretty cool and creative for the shape of the body!

Those are some pretty cool sketches, and actually brings up a concept that I've been thinking about.
I always view the Drakemoras as a form of amphibian that, after a period of time, will slowly change it's appearance. So, here is the concept that I have. The aquatic state, which includes the version you finalized on, would be the Alpha stage, which is primarily aquatic (they can go on land, but it's more in a fashion of a walking fish than a true amphibian, a'la a mudskipper). The second stage, the Beta, is the quadapedal stage, as the Drakemoras has evolved stronger hindlimbs that allow it to move on land. The final stage, the Omega (dubbed Queen, though the Drakemoras are technically hermaphrodites), are still quadapeds, but are functionally bipedal, and are the main matriarch/leader of the group. Β Β

Appreciate it and makes complete since. I was actually thinking the same idea to be honest.
