I appreciate it and I'm a bit of a overpowered critic when I grade my work sometimes. But I do agree there is definitely a resemblance.

I think that's normal for every artist. Hell, I think a majority of my stuff is shit.

Agree and I try not to be too negative about my work. Β I'm usually more of a " this needs work or that needs work" which really helps push me forward and try again better. A positive outlook generally is the best idea. Which is sometimes hard on my part as well.
But your work is definitely NOT shit man seriously. Β Who ever told you that? Β

I used to be like that, then suddenly, I become "if I dare change this design aspect, people will hate it" or "this idea is such a rip-off of blank"
No one really told me that, it's just how I feel most of the time. I do remember that on the Toho Kingdom forum, they called my work cartoony or something in that effect, and the bug me for a while. But, mostly, I'm usually the one who looks down on my work.

To be honest I wouldn't even care about what they will think. Worrying about them will only lead to more stress and discourage. Its your work and you should be PROUD of it. Heck I'm proud of what your creating and the past few kaiju designs I've been seeing from you were just great. I'm seriously loving that your taking time to focus and study different design aspects and how they will effect the appearance of the kaiju. Seriously man that's something to be really proud of. High props for you man
