Description
'Chestnuts Roasting' is very similarly themed to 'Fireside Mice' [link] . The difference being a few years more experience on my part!In this image I wanted to really convey a sense of warmth in the room. The fire to be projecting heat.
I also had to roast a chestnut to recall the wrinkled texture of the nut!
Painted in watercolour, gouache and ink.

So Cute this kinda reminds me of Beatrix Potter's world of Peter Rabbits Tales of Gloucester Story I loved these sorta things as a young kid
