Such a good tutorial, so easy to follow and still very rich in information. I'm planning to do my first "real" drawing of an eye and looked for tutorials, and when I saw that you made this one I thought "Ooh, isn't gabbyd70 like the Queen of Drawing Eyes? Must be a good tutorial then ^^"

And I really like the tip about using a white gel pen! I would never have thought about that myself.

Thank you for making this. I drew an eye a couple of nights ago using this, and it came out better than any eye I'd done before. I think you really just taught me good tecniques and to slow down and pay attention to detail.

For the longest time I couldn't figure out how to make the paper and the graphite work together to make it look like real skin. Now I can.

The picture didn't come out looking like the reference, but it's a start.

okay. i really like this. and your drawins are great. so i gave it a try. transferred pics from my camera to my computer. made a photobucket account and uploaded a pic all so i can show you this sucky drawing haha.

so you know, i typically draw animals and scenery, but i've been tampering with humans, and not having much luck. but i really liked you eyes. and i don't think mine is too terribly bad for a first try. i also started to hurry through it cause i wanted to show my mom before she went to bed haha. anyways, i know its not good, but you wanted links, so here it is and thanks for the great tutorial. i now have something to practice during class!

also, the shading and smoothness and contrast overall looks so much better in real liffe than on the camera, but didn't know how to fix it...
