I wanted to do something related to this theme for quite sometime, but I never found a good reference or enough inspiration... Well, two days ago a friend (in real life, not here in DA)went to a zoo, and he send me this picture, and said I could use as reference... (The pic would be the snowy owl)
So, what I did is take the picture and draw it a little bit different and after add the books... Simple uh?

Makes perfect sense. An owl can represent wisdom. Great sketch

hey! so, I used a 4B pencil for the books, and I used a 6B pencil to draw the black details on the owl, but when you're drawing snowy owls you need to be careful to the paper don't turn into gray xD
I also used a cotton piece to do smooth the shadows

I didn't think on Hedwig not even for a second while drawing this, but after I finished it I have to admit that she was the first thing that came up on my mind! xD
