Description Woo, done. ^^ Surprisingly the coloring was faster than the line art... so either I'm coloring faster, or lining slower... or both. I'm very happy with how this came out, and I feel like I learned more about color while making it, so yay.

Oh, these fab characters belong to and and once my depression hit the road I had a lot more fun drawing and coloring these cuties. I hope they like this as much as I did making them.

Oh, detail if anyone is interested. [link]

Thanks, hun. I actually wish I paid more attention to mood and emotion in my pics, but I always seem to get caught up in the technical stuff. It's nice it seems to shine through anyways.

You probably have a very inherent and intuitive meter for mood and emotion, so it's probably natural for you, whereas techinical details are something everyone has to pay attention to

It's so cool how your name is in the scythe. They look fabulous, especially the way you did the coloring of the fabrics. They really DO look like real fabric, especially that you put the shine in them like you did.

Wai, I know, I was so excited that it came out looking so plausible. I think if I could just figure out some sort of tecture technique it would be perfect... I fear having to go in and scraping details of threads though, ya know?

Well, try it on a layer! Take a macro image or create a texture in Photoshop and running it through shitloads of layers and play around with it. I loove playing with textures and patterns, it creates an oh-so-unique effect.

I like doing that too, except recently I've been trying to go the whole traditional route. You know, the pain in the ass route where every mark and effect was by hand with painstaking detail that really wasn't worth it except to say I did it without filters. >_< It's a pain, especially with the limitations computer generated brushes give. I want a real palette knife to be able to use, not the crappy Painter IX ones so I can push color around with a nice sharp edge. Maybe I should try creating brushes... You know what it is? I want to paint like a real oil painting, except I don't want to put up with paints and mess so I'm taking it out on my computer and bullying the poor machine. XD

I understand completely. From what little I played with Painter, I hated the "watercolor" brushes so I was like yeauck this program isn't worth it for me (after I tried to play with it a bit and realized I sucked nonetheless XD).

Very nice! The over all mood of the picture is great too. ^_^ My favorite part of this fine work of art must be the details on the cloths and skin.
I could never do that so perfectly @_@ Specialy love the meld of colors in the girl's skirt

Thank you, hun. I was thinking crows' wings where you get that rainbow effect from black. The coloring came surprisingly easy... which troubles me a bit because color never comes easy for me, but the results are cool so why worry? ^^

AHH Gabby that's hot D: I wanna commission you on Gaia X3 *counts money sadly* First I should take on a few of my own >_>

The use of green in this picture makes me incredibly happy. There isn't enough green in the world. And that scythe is a big chunk of awesome painting.

Good luck with commissions (I know you'll be fab at it ) I like green too, like the whole beauty of the natural world... yet I find myself not using it a lot. I need to work myself away from all these blues and purples and pick some warmer colors for a change.

*pokes your shiny avatar of coolness* Very cute.

Have you tried the minishop forums? Sometimes it's good to get yourself noticed by doing a few freebies in the Art Freebie forum, and then setting up shop, or cruising for potential clients in the Request and Commissions forum.
