Description

Commission for BloodDragonJL meant as a gift for MissMagnificent .
Ok, this one is so old, it must have a beard. So old, that when you see closely you can see something like annual rings from trees, from different stages in the past years.

In this scene you can see Miss Magnificent Mascot in a pokemon Fight with Latios and Latias. The Mascot still has the design form like 4 years ago. (Because that's besecly how long I've been working on this)

4 years? Wow, that seems to have paid off! I can barely stay focused on a piece for more than 4 days, showing just how much of a passion project this is. Incredible.

Well, I have obviously not worked on this all the time. In fact, I could have finished this in a month or so, but this project was apparently to daunting or something.
Though, when I think about it, it would have looked much worse, if I were satisfied with the vision I had for it at the time, so in a way I'm glad myself how it turned out now.
I'm quite fascinated myself to be honest that I din't gave up half-way through. I thought about it a lot.

Thanks for your kind words, I appreciate them a lot. ^^

Thank you! I could have finished this much quicker, but I think I'm glad in a way that I didn't.
I learned a lot in all that time, and the result is much closer to what I had envisioned.

4 years? I don't think I am worth that time and effort. Thanks so much BloodDragonJL for commissioning this for me! You're too kind a soul.

It's been a while, hasn't it? Last time we really talked was when I was still drawing Spyro comics and acting like suger high baboon.Β

You have always been a master at shading and texturing. Time and effort has only polished those skills like a fine wine... I don't know where to go first with what draws my eye the most in this piece. There are so many quirky details and easter eggs that are begging to grab my attention.Β The perfect leaves in the foreground, the bark texture of the palm tree. But also the gorgeous water and the rocks. I mean those waves look almost real. Tropical paradises have always been my favorite environment which makes this piece even more appealing to myself personally. And of course, the characters, I don't mind at all that it is an older version of my mascot. Because it looks...magnificent? Β
Just everything about those colors screams 'pro' to me. With the light scattering off the sand as well as the different tones of blue in the shading. I mean hell even the cap looks almost photo-realistic. And my precious favorite Pokemon. Again I just love the way you illustrate light. Their wings look beautiful. God I just love everything about this piece. I just can't look away.

You know, after spending the last 4 years studying to become a concept artist, you have still outclassed me on sheer talent alone with one picture. Every single inch of this illustration screams of the effort you put into it. It is inspiring to me. It makes me wanna get back in there and practice. Because hell I want to be able to draw backgrounds like that myself!

I know that you went through a hard time these past few years and during the making of this picture. I think I ought to tell you I have always thought you were an incredible, talented artist. And I was worried that you would one day remove your works and not posts again. Which would be a tragedy knowing the things you are capable of creating. You have good ideas as well as the rare skill to bring them to life in a beautiful way. I want nothing more than to see what you will create in the future.Β

I can never say enough to really express how grateful I am for this wonderful piece. It is just marvelous. Not only for the piece but for still remembering me after all those years.Β
Thank you so much!!

You definitely are. I still have, and will always hold you and your work in the highest regard and this is an Expression of that.
And also an expression of respect towards BloodDragonJL, who has to be one of the most patient people, I've ever seen.

Honestly, I don't know what to say. I feel deeply touched by your words here. I wouldn't have imagined that you look at me in that light, because that's basically the way I've always looked up to you. I was always in awe, how you were able to express your ideas and your vision in a way that's so creative and free. It was always inspiring to me.

I've often had this doubt, my art wouldn't get better no matter what I do and I simply couldn't get further. As if getting better at art was not a possibility for me.
You basically just instantly eradicated this fear with this comment. I thank you so much for that, you've made my day here.:')
I actually wouldn't have imagined, to get where I am now the way I did would actually work, and it's especial delightful to get this confirmed by a person as talented and with the know-how such as you. ^^ I feel honored!

Thank you so much. This means a lot to me.

A good product , polished by the sand of time at the peek of your skills.

It is nostalgic but grateful for this, as this was created at your own pace, time and inspiration.. (How many artist with commisions will have this scenario ) And I like it since it was not outside pressure that made you finsih it.

The details of the landscape are gorgeous, alongside the character interaction.

The anatomy left me speechless, so alive, so dynamic and in tune with there characters.

This is a picture and one must print in big and hang it on the wall for all to see . and I think she will like it alot ^^

Nooow it is (Made a few changes still)

Thank you so much for staying with me all this time like this.
You have to be one of the most patient persons around.
Especially that you let me finish this at my own pace, even after there was a moment, if I remember correctly
where I almost wanted to cancel it.

This most certainly made me grow as an artist, and you made it possible. I thank for that so much.
I am so glad that you like it.
