Description This one's for explaining the terms Wireframe, base image, filling and shading.

I think it's pretty self explanatory, but I'll give a little explanation it.

Leftmost image:
A wire frame, that's what I call this sketches that are the female figure only, no clothes, no face traits and no body traits.
Commissioning this subtracts $5 from the base price.

Center left image:
Lineart only, just the lines for the drawing and a lot of blank space. xD This is the standard for image and price.

Center right image:
Image with filling. I fill in the blank space with the pencil to create opacity and distinguish different parts of the drawing.
Commissioning this adds $2 to the base price.

Rightmost image:
Finished drawing, with filling and shading added to create the illusion of depth.
Commissioning this adds $5 to the base price.

For more info on the character I used for this chart go here: [link]

I'll scrap this later.

One stipulation.

Should have left the Wire Frame more visible to the eye. I can see well, but not Superman well.

Gee, interesting...for some reason, I seem to like the base image better than the rest of the process...it's almost like a smooth, simple lineart... *wonders how you feel about inking*

Maybe I should have requested that in my comm. application. Oh, well...

Woah, looking closely at the wireframe, I saw her original size in there

It's like this Izuna's a clone who ate the original or something.

Like the way they did with Michael Jackson.

Wait, what the hell am I saying.

GAIN-OVER In reply to flakattack [2008-05-03 21:49:42 +0000 UTC]

You're kind of saying nonsense.
But yeah, you can see her original size because I always sketch a thin figure for pose reference and then trace the fattened figure over it.

flakattack In reply to GAIN-OVER [2008-05-03 22:51:52 +0000 UTC]

Damn right I'm saying nonsense. Wait, that's a bad thing to say, blargh.

I learned something like this in my art class.

GAIN-OVER In reply to MonteCristoHakushaku [2008-05-03 21:47:52 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it's sort of basic in a way.

Without the basics, we'd never have free style.
