Part 7: You WILL Be Mine

Soon enough, the three of them made their way back through the forest to the ballroom right before the 11 pm curfew, finding that Neena, Danny, and Dakota were all looking around anxiously for them and wondering where they went. Amy immediately ran up to her mother and hugged her, shivering from the whole experience, though it seemed that Neena was even more worried than Amy.

“I was so scared…” Neena whispered.

“I…I’m okay now, though. Really. Just accidentally got lost for a quick bit.” Amy tried to calm her mom down, while at the same time, trying not to tell her anything about the alien attack. What if she didn’t believe her? Or even worse, what if she did and freaked out even more?

Danny smiled and hugged Amy too. “Well, what’s important now is that you’re okay. Now let’s get inside before it’s too late. It’s almost 11 pm, after all.”

As they went back inside the manor to their assigned rooms for the night, they waved goodbye to Dakota before leaving, and it seemed as though Medallion kept his mouth shut about the whole thing too. As far as Amy could tell, anyway.

Despite everything that happened earlier, even Amy had to admit that one good thing had happened today. She had made a friend.

As she looked out the window of the bedroom to the stars outside, she certainly hoped that it would be the last time those aliens would ever dare come after her. Koton and Medallion really gave the sock to them and practically blew up their spaceship, so it’s not like they would anyway. Right?

….Right?

Meanwhile, far, far away from the Nightingale Manor, Farina was hard at work trying to fix the broken spaceship. She had to, as High Commander Jeena had personally offered it to her and would therefore be really ticked off if she ever found out that Farina had let it become so carelessly destroyed.

By a couple of Pokémon that could have easily been avoided, no less!

The battle from earlier wouldn’t leave her mind. What was supposed to be a very simple, easy capture mission instead turned out to be a spectacular fiasco. There was no way she could ever tell High Commander Jeena about this failure! No, she had to regroup, get the other crewmembers in line, and—

“94 bottles of Jugg on the wall, 94 bottles of Jugg…take one down, pass it around, 93 bottles of Jugg on the wall~!”

“A LITTLE HELP WOULD BE NICE!” she shouted at the Elgyems and Beheeyem who were clearly goofing off and playing around with the broken ship parts.

“After the next game of ‘99 Bottles of Jugg on the Wall’, okay?” replied Boss-Man, still lying down on the ground doing absolutely nothing.

Farina threw her arms up in frustration before trying to get back to work. THOSE guys messed up a lot during the mission for sure, and were by far the most incompetent individuals of all of Planet Paion.

But…she had no choice. After all…she did pick them out herself for a reason. And so long as they didn’t ever suspect the true purpose of this mission, everything would be all right.

She looked back up to the stars, to the weak, puny human she almost captured if it weren’t for those meddling others. Amy was her name, huh…? All she could do was glare and clench her fists.

Mark my words, human…I won’t stop chasing you until I catch you and get you executed…no matter how long or whatever it takes! You WILL be mine!

And this is where I will end the "one picture per story part" deal and will begin the "one picture per CHAPTER" instead, as I don't feel nearly as motivated to justify drawing that many pictures for the rest of the story compared to six really good ones that I actually will be motivated. (Plus, that would take a crapload of time and I want some time to myself to prepare for the upcoming spring semester and more Pokemon-of-Avalon stuff and blah blah blah.) Also, Lauren is really busy too, so I feel like it would be rude to make her do any more work.
