Chikorita then proceeded to thread the rest of the lights around the building. Lee then asked Amy, “Was it really that bad? What happened in the library?”

Amy nodded and began to whisper. “Yeah. Miss PK and a lot of other teams broke in so I could get the books, since Miss Arianna locked herself in the library, see. She was worried that Kyurem’s snow would come, so she surrounded the village with a barrier of thorns, and they were going to be the ones to convince her to lower it. Problem was, they failed, and Miss Arianna found me. She…um…” She shivered. “Whipped me. A LOT. She was SCARY. If it weren’t for Miss Louise there to help me knock some sense into her, I don’t know what would’ve happened…”

Bree shivered. “Yikes…But you’re a kid! And she still did that to you?”

“Well, I tried to tell her about Kyurem’s sickness and how she might need to get the ingredients to cure it, but…it didn’t work. Anyway, she’s really nice now. I even invited her to the party, so you can meet her too.”

“So why didn’t you explain that around Chikorita?” asked Lee.

“She’s really worried about me. She’d flip out if she found out something like that happened when I was by myself,” Amy explained.

By that time, they had finally finished decorating the building with the lights. They looked around and saw that everyone else looked like they had the rest of the buildings under control. All of Tao Village began to look more beautiful and festive with the strings of multicolored lights around them. Chikorita ran back up to them and said, “All done, guys!”

“Hey, Chikorita. And Lee and Bree, right? Want to head to the café now? I can show you where we’re performing,” said Amy.

“Wait…we’re performing?” asked Bree, worriedly.

Chikorita chuckled. “No, just Amy and me. And some of our friends. The Merchants are sponsoring this party, so Miss PK said we had to provide entertainment on the day of the party. It’s going really well!”

Lee smiled. “Thanks for telling me all that, Amy and Chikorita. I wish we could’ve explained more about us, but we’re new here, so…yeah. Thanks.”

“No problem!” said Amy. “If you have any help figuring out how things work, let us know!”

Bree added, “What are we waiting for? I want to see the café, too!”

And with that, the Treecko sisters of Team Wooden Grove followed Amy and Chikorita across town, heading for the underground entrance to Spinda’s Café. Kyurem smiled, as he was glad he could help give another suggestion that helped the two teams; one of them his old friends and the other a new one that he was sure would become more involved in times to come.

On the seventh day of giving, my new friends gave to me...
Seven lines of lighting,
Six surfing pirates,
FIVE HANDY THINGS!
Four fireworks,
Three for Mike,
Two mattresses,
And a flood of a gifting spree!
