Okay, I was SCARRED FOR LIFE BY THE 1998 X-FILES MOVIE!!!!!! I'm not joking about that; I STILL have issues even to this day. My mom went to go see this movie and for some reason I was convinced that if she left she wouldn't come back (Hey, I was a little kid! So cut me some slack). I threw a HUGE fit until she agreed to take me with her. Biggest. Mistake. EVER! I HAD NIGHTMARES FOR A WEEK AND WAS SCARED TO SLEEP ALONE FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS AFTERWARDS! (it had an upside for Mom though, she said I became ALOT nicer and less selfish after we went to the movie)
.....the reason I refuse to believe in aliens is mostly out of the fear they'd end up being like the ones from X-Files (Stupid reason I know, but as a kid everyone said that if you didn't believe in monsters then they couldn't hurt you; so I figured 'hey, maybe it works for aliens too' and as I have yet to encounter one, I guess it does).

I was watching X-Files with my friend the other day and he said something like "well how would she like it if the aliens didn't believe in her!"....So that makes this all the more funny.
