Strengths: Quickness, strength, and endurance underwater; physical strength, patience, quick reflexes, sharp claws and teeth
Weaknesses: Slowness, clumsiness, and poor endurance on land and in the air, indecisiveness/hesitation, slightly poor hearing, poor fighting skills (except when possessed*)
Personality: Timid and somewhat introverted but enthusiastic around friends; more passive than assertive or aggressive; patient and adaptive but a bit pessimistic; constantly afraid of hurting people, and really doesn’t think it’s okay for her to get angry or scared*
Likes: Fruit, berries, sunbathing, swimming, flowers, sand, pebbles/rocks, smooth surfaces, cool colors, leaves
Dislikes: Surprises (that startle her, like jump scares and the like), complete darkness, anything with fur/feathers (as food), the color red (it’s overall a harsh color, and brings up images of blood), bright magenta (also a harsh color), and others touching her gills, chin tendril things, or the nub things on the sides of her face
Backstory: Gizem was a bit distant with her parents and her first friends, afraid to hurt them. Eventually, feeling like she was a burden to them, she left them behind to live by herself. She did make more friends (see below), and eventually got over feeling like a burden (for the most part).
Relationships: Lavender (close friend), Ailia (friend), Sora (friend), Angelica (friend), Aurora (friend), Dinaya (acquaintance/friend)

Gizem’s species is adapted for living in and around rivers. Their preferred method of hunting is waiting at the bottom of a river, then launching themselves up and out with their prey. They have long, powerful claws for holding onto the riverbed, and a streamlined body so that water rushes over them. They also have powerful back legs that allow them to push off the riverbed and grab their prey, and quick reflexes. As such, they mostly eat fish, although sometimes they also crawl along the riverbed to hunt other prey, like crayfish and other crustaceans. They also eat fruit, berries, and lizards.
Adults are about the size of a large dog, such as a golden retriever.
They can fly, but not very well, and not very far.

*Gizem cannot manifest whatever magic she does have into powers of any kind. However, when angry or scared enough, she seems to become possessed for several minutes, attacking all living things around her. She is completely blind in this state, however.
Not a lot of dragons have seen her in this state. Lavender and Ailia are the only friends of hers that have; Lavender froze up (making no noise) and was thus able to avoid being detected by her, and Ailia was able to get away from her using light magic and her superior flying abilities.
