I believe Christine never really saw Jeremy any more than a friend.
If you listen to the song, "A Guy I'd Kinda be Into", if Christine said Jeremy instead of Jake, it really wouldn't have been real love. If she did say Jeremy, it would prove Christine didn't like Jeremy for who he was and only liked him because he's cool. Meanwhile, Michael has cared for Jeremy, even when he was blocked from his field of vision. He cared deeply about their friendship.
Christine was really into Jake, but really only saw Jeremy as a friend. She never really showed she wanted a romantic relationship with him. Of course, yeah, in "Voices in my Head", she does say yes when Jeremy asks her out, but it wasn't really real love.
