Here's the next reference!If you feel bad for Michael in the canon, this Michael is ten times worse.
He's in an extremely abusive relationship with Jeremy. The only reason they're friends is because Michael had had nobody else to talk to and Jeremy seemed like a nice kid at first, but after a while, Jeremy started hitting on him because Jeremy has a lot of anger built up inside of him and decided to use his emotionally broken friend as a vent. Considering Michael's a very quiet character in this AU, Jeremy knew he'd be an easy person to abuse because he knew he wouldn't dare tell anybody. Michael knows if he mentions anything about Jeremy's abuse, he'd be hurt even more. Michael hides under a persona of a silent and lone type who just follows Jeremy around because why not. But he's truly forced into this relationship and he breaks down over it quite often at home when nobody is around. He's a pretty sensitive character and has so many trust issues BECAUSE of Jeremy. Jeremy has caused him to not want to be friends with anybody else. He isn't even allowed to talk to others because Jeremy is scared he'll tell them about the abuse. Michael is called "freak" and "loser" on a daily basis from Jeremy and he just hates it but if he were to even try and speak out, Jeremy would hurt him. Michael wears makeup to hide his bruises(as seen on his arm and eye)and scars because he doesn't want anybody to assume his family is abusing him because his mom is very busy and never even at home(in this AU), and his dad also works a lot(in this AU, his dad ISN'T ABUSIVE. YAAAAAY)as well so he's alone at home. Except for the half brother he got from a mishap with his dad, and Sal(said half brother) is very young, doesn't understand that Michael's best friend is hurting him. Post Squipcident, Michael and Jeremy stop being friends.
One of the worst things that goes along with the canon....Jeremy is locked into the bathroom(Brooke was mad at him for what he did to Chloe) with Michael by accident. Michael went to the Halloween party to speak his mind to Jeremy's abuse, but Jeremy spoke down to him as he usually, did, ten times more drunk, abusing him as violently possibly could, and then laughed at him when he started crying. Jeremy managed to break down the door and left Michael sitting there alone as he ever had been. Chloe and Brooke found him though and that's when he finally got to spill his emotions out to them.Β

(also @ these people getting angry at nuance in a character. jeremy isn't perfect, and he was an asshole, but he's not a demon. and it's not completely his fault because the squip was manipulating him. smh)

(and like he was abused too. Like BMC seems to be a month long story, the play starting up in late September, and then it ends in early November, meaning Jeremy was abused most likely FOR A MONTH. So like....that poor kid was not in a good place. Not to mention what Chloe did to Jeremy probably made him not want to be alone with ANYBODY. Also just...I bet those people are the same people who's first song was MiTB...I am glad my first song was Two Player Game)

it's a good thing based on character writing. that was the whole point of jeremy here, right? (puns)
(and that makes sense. i always listen to musical songs in order during the first few times though so i'm well aware of what's actually going on. and yeah, that thing with chloe was pretty terrible too.)

(and I legit found BMC by complete freaking accident through DEH which I found through Heathers and Hamilton which I found through my ex boyfriend. Like, I found a TPG animatic and then months later I heard The Pitiful Children and began listening to songs and eventually listened to the full thing and looked up the plot. My original plot conception was "a really precious gay relationship is broken up by an evil computer that forces one of them to like this random girl named Christine before using the boy to take over the entire highschool during the school play" like...this was my conception. and yes chloe valentine is a jerk but a well written jerk)
