Description
"The Forest of Regrets...A place said to only exist in the dreams of certain people...usually those with fame. In this said place, nightmares can be conjured, thoughts that can cause the owner to be scared, or to feel feelings not normal to them. In the case of siblings, it tends to be the older that feels these, and in the case of a certain hero of the Mushroom Kingdom, it's him.These thoughts plague his mind...he hears the words of his younger brother, screaming all sorts of depressing things. This makes the hero think he's a horrible brother, and this probably isn't the case but that won't stop him from believing this, even after he wakes up. These thoughts can affect anybody that has them, and it causes them to be more pessimistic and depressed than they normally are.
So, have you traveled the the Forest of Regrets, or do you not need to? Everybody will travel there at least once in their life, even the happiest of people."

What was supposed to be a vent piece became this little story that I wanna delve into more. Poor Mario, when did I start throwing my emotions on him instead of Luigi? Idk today is the first time I've done this, anyways this was actually quite fun to draw with the black and white colors and the bright eyes
Also I'm fine, so don't worry about me. Usually when I get upset I just listen to some emo music and draw a sad picture and my emotions are back to normal <3

You know when you think about, you can consider it Mario's fault for Luigi's thoughts. Maybe the forest is trying to break him with those thoughts? Maybe...?......Alright maybe not -_-

i probs will, luckily i'm working on a few Mario stories, and one of them happens to revolve around the bros mentalities and stuff, because knowing me i'll find a way to make everything i write even more depressing than it already is lol

true true, I mean stuff like Mario and Music Box exists and that's a fan game so yeah lol, and how depressing is that? well majority of the endings involve DEATH and FEELS so yeah....
and not even all those characters are Mario characters
then there was this fanfic where the bros parents were dead and then Luigi and Daisy had a kid and both Daisy and the kid, named after Luigi's dad in that fanfic, died, and Luigi became depressed and then I started crying like omg it was sad

Yeah I know. But seriously the ending (Mario the Music Box) in the kitchen with the Mario bros. OMG IT'S SO SAD. You know, now that I re-think it, I know both of those stories. It's the one where the baby is born really early and Luigi goes off to win a Smash Tournament Right?

also if you're wondering I use FireAlpaca. It's free and there is a channel on youtube for tutorials on it, it's LeslieLu Marie, and she has a whole playlist on how to draw on Firealpaca, how to use it and everything, it's free and for me it's easy to use, very similar to Paint Tool SAI. I hope this helps. One day I'll post tutorials on it

I mean when you put that way, I guess it is strange for people to make stories based on that. But then theres the question of why would you make it so depressing in the first place.
But then again when you think about Sonic the Hedgehog, it's just as strange. Hundreds of years into the future there are talking, off coloured animals. A blue hedgehog can run at 1000 miles an hour, the fox can fly and the echidna can dig up against a egg shaped man that makes Robots just to rule the world

ok then basically using my current OCs that I draw more than the others:
Orphan child with no pupils(who is adopted)tries to save people from a dead magic ghost things and the ghost thing's naga friend, and on said adventure he has with him the clumsiest person ever, the dead magic ghost thing's sister who can't remember they're siblings, and a human alien hybrid that lost their parents...ok i can do better
green demon chick and her smol demon-like boyfriend live on an island with a robot yandere, dead dude, a mermaid, a fire child, an electric child, another dead, a dude with dark magic, and one human. oh and they're hiding from the government and the yandere is fighting another yandere for the first dead dude.
Ok that was fun to do, even though that was the short version.

if i could write a story on them it would end up as a novel believe it or not. I've actually kinda always wanted to write some kind of novel when i'm older but ya know, i might not go to college so yeah...
heh, well the second half of those characters were revamped versions of my evil Youtubers(Darkiplier, Antisepticeye, Virus Cry, others), and I basically created Dainen(originally Dark), Alma(originally Anti), V(originally Virus), Kace(originally my dark CinnamonToastKen), and Sphirix(originally my Dark Pewdiepie). There are a few more but I was kinda...not watching youtubers at the time, and wanted some new characters and decided, since there were canon Dark and Anti(and Virus)I would revamp all my characters into my own little universe where they all live
The first half is like...revamps of characters me and my ex-boyfriend(back before he was my ex)made. Cottie is the pupiless one, he was our personas' son but now he's adopted by my persona Paige. Jackie was originally my alter ego "The Jacketlord" but my smart lil ex(sarcasm)kinda...changed her to her own character. I ended up separating Jackie and JacketLord into being two separate things. The alien's name is Cosmic Star, or CS as I call them. They were a new creation i made here recently because i love alien hybrids, and so yeah they exist now. Uni is just a ghost i drew because I was playing a butt ton of Luigi's Mansion at the time and wanted a ghost like oc so she exists. Funny enough, the "dead magic ghost thing" i mentioned was posted here, he's a homage to Dimentio, as I love jesters and i love have colors on characters. Thing is he isn't a jester, but he is quite chaotic, but he's also gonna end up being a pretty depressing character as his jealousy lead him to kill his sister(Uni when they were alive, both of them are dead)and he had so much guilt that he went and infused himself with a random girl in the village so they wouldn't find him. Of course his parents ended up having to kill him(note, he and Uni were royalty, but Dimi was younger and wasn't the prince because they had a monarchy based on princesses and junk, Uni was said princess). The snek is legit just me wanting a snake character because of that one scene from "The Jungle Book" with the snake, and...that's about it for inspirations heh

Well if you want to start writing a novel, you could always start writing fanfictions with characters like I'm doing.
I think it's a good idea to make original characters based off of the evil personels. I feel like they don't get enough credit as they should though.
You know when i think about how many Oc's i have, (which is one or two) then i look at yours...i should just stop trying now -_-

yeah there are way more, that's just 2 of them, I also have my lil monster OCs, my little monster band characters, my robot technology thing, Cabbage and Vent(those names)and a lot more that I don't even touch, and i'm doing that WRITE now(omg that was just a type and i made it into a pun)because my character Chisai is kind of...well she is in a one sided relationship because the person she loves would never understand romance, he's 25 yes, but he was in a lab for majority of his life so romance doesn't come to him heh. So I discovered a certain Hanihaki disease and thought I'd try to write something with it
and yes, I love villain personels, such inspiration. Like SPM gave me a lot of inspiration to make OCs as of late.
And you should not stop trying, my friend said the same thing and now she has like 20 ocs and her own universe with it's own canon(she's literally in middle school tho lel). I started out with just one or two as well, Galaxy and Madley were my only OCs(i didnt realize Madley was an OC tho, my grandma made her up with i was little, she told me stories about me and my twin sister who was a vampire named Madley, and then I revamped Madley into a newer, more modernized character). Never. Quite. Trying. Sometimes to make OCs just go to random character generators, that's how I made my smol mercenary son
