Her parents, her father was an engineer and her mother a well known nurse, had been given offers for jobs over in the states. Without skipping a beat, Saorise and her family headed for America. At first, because of her heavy accent, Saorise was teased a lot. She grew distant of people, and became withdrawn as she went through school. It wasn't until high school, that her accent ended up being weak. She enjoyed her high school days, and her first job at a pet store. She grew fond of animals, to the point she decided to become a vet. Her parents were happy with her choice, and worked hard to make sure their daughter can go to the school she chooses.

Sadly, all good things must come to an end. Saorise had just graduated high school, and she was with her parents as they were heading to a nice restaurant to celebrate that evening. They were waiting at a light, the restaurant was just ahead, they only had to get past this light. Saorise was so excited, she felt like nothing could ruin this moment. As soon as the light turned green, she could feel the car pull forward, and then a rather hard jerk. Saorise could hear screaming, glass, and horns blaring. Suddenly she felt everything start to turn upside down and more jerking, before she blacked out. When Saorise finally came to, she saw she was in a hospital. Her left arm in a cast, her body ached, and so many bruises and cuts covered her body. It wasn't until a day or two later that she learned what happened from her parent's best friend and lawyer.

That night a semi-truck had ran the red light as her dad was putting into the intersection. The truck had collided with the car pretty hard, that it sent their car rolling a bit. She had also learned that the impact took out most of the front of the car, and her parents didn't survive at all. After that their friend said that Saorise will stay with him and his wife until she is fully recovered, and that he has already gotten everything set up for the funeral. Saorise didn't know what to say or what to feel, she just thanked him and stared off into space.

After a few more days in the hospital, she was finally released. A week later, she was at the funeral for her parents. After that she stayed with her parent's friend for a few months until she was fully recovered. After that she decided she still wanted to go and become a vet. The man insisted she try talking to a therapist, but Saorise refused, saying she just wants to get on with her life. The man helped her with getting the money that was left to her and made sure she was good to go. From there Saorise went to collage and rented a small apartment, close to the cemetery where her parents are buried, and studied to become a vet tech.
