Description
Warmth in winter
(Name) breathlessly trudged through the thick snow as it clung to her legs desperately. Tugging up her scarf to cover half of her face, she shielded it from the fierce blizzard. She squinted her eyes, peering at the peak of Mt. Silver.
In an attempt to become stronger, (Name) decided that it would be best to test herself by bringing herself and her Pokémon to Mt. Silver, aspiring to reach the very peak. Though, she had to admit, it wasn’t as easy as first anticipated. From the start, she knew it definitely wouldn’t be an easy task to complete, but she didn’t know it’d be this difficult.
With rosy cheeks and her lips formed in a perfect line, (Name) heaved another breath as her foot came in contact with the frosty ground once more. Exhausted, fatigue swarmed over her as she clambered to the ground in a messy heap. Her (h/c) locks fell over her face as she kept herself propped up with her elbows, panting heavily.
Here she was, at the peak of Mt. Silver, her trusty (p/n) sitting by her side, peering at her with a concerned look on its face. (Name) flashed it a reassuring smile, her body trembling from the amount of snow that attacked her skin. The lactic acid in her legs bubbled and burned, thin eyebrows knitted together in worry. Sure, she had made it to the top, but there was always the consequence of coming back down.
Facing the ground, (e/c) orbits glaring down at the frost in confusion, she contemplated staying up here overnight, only to come to the conclusion that she’d probably freeze to death. Though, there was always that possible consequence that she could collapse if she attempted to climb back down again, being as she was exhausted enough already.
Bringing her face upwards, her orbs landed on a hazy figure. Of course, she couldn’t really tell who it was from the back, but she could tell it was a male, judging by the broad shoulders and somewhat confident stance.
That had always been one of (Name)’s many talents. Observation was something she excelled at, even from looking at a person from behind.
The male’s hands were stuffed in his trouser’s pockets, seeking warmth. His skin was also extremely pale; almost as white as the hail that tumbled down from the sky. One leg was bent, his weight shifted onto the leg as he stared vacantly into the distance, assumedly admiring the view.
Inhaling a large breath, she mustered up all her strength and let her shaky, worn-out arms pick herself up, her body clumsily standing upright. With heavy steps, she soundlessly approached the silhouette, hoping to get a closer look.
From closer inspection, the male was wearing trousers, a short-sleeved shirt, shoes and a trademark hat. In addition, his hair was short and black, but there wasn’t exactly much to see from behind.
Anxiously biting her bottom lip, (Name) wrapped her arms around herself, hoping to conceal her arms from the blizzard as she carefully stepped around the male, standing in front of him, hoping he would acknowledge her.
But he didn’t. He merely continued to gaze into the distance, mesmerized by the view. It was as if his eyes were affixed in their place like a decoration; unmoving. He probably hadn’t even noticed (Name).
Taking another course of action, (Name) extended her arm, dainty fingertips hoping to touch his arm, only for the boy to quickly let his reflexes kick in, instantly grabbing a tight hold of (Name)’s wrist.
(Name) swore she was going to scream, but all that came out was a stunned squeak as her jaw was left hanging open.
The boy’s eyes, their colour red, stared intently at (Name)’s face. He had finally noticed her, and the boy’s hand was surprisingly warm, despite the fact that he had been standing up here for what seemed to be a long time, completely immobile. The warmth of his hand spread throughout her wrist, and that was when her facial expression relaxed.
“I’m sorry,” she whispered tiredly, her eyelids drooping slightly. “I just...It’s not every day you see someone at the top of Mt. Silver, right?” (Name) chuckled airily, hoping to make light of the situation. However, he didn’t make a sound, a move, he just, once again, became completely unmoving.
“...I’m (Name),” she greeted, nervously clearing her throat as she hoped for some kind of reply or action, but to no avail.
“...” He just remained silent. Though, (Name) could feel drowsiness suddenly setting in. Perhaps it was because of the fact that the fatigue was finally starting to take its dramatic toll, or maybe it was because this nameless boy’s warmth was actually making her more sleepy and safe than before. Without coming to a conclusion, she could feel herself become faint, limply falling into the mysterious boy’s arms, her face hitting his chest.
The last thing she heard was the small sounds of someone talking, attempting to reach her.
“...Hey, are you okay? You’re...”
There was no sign of worry or urgency in his voice, but he still let his eyebrows crease as he attempted to show as little emotion as possible, his voice trailing off.
With a sigh, he slowly brought himself down to the ground, bringing the tiny girl with him as he tucked her in his lap, entangling his arms around her frame. He wasn’t exactly thrilled about doing this to a complete stranger, but he wasn’t going to ignore her for much longer. He was pretty warm, after all. Perhaps getting her warmer would help her regain consciousness?
For now, he just remained sat in that position, slowly rocking from side to side like a mother would do with her baby, his eyes half-lidded. Unconsciously, (Name) tucked herself further into the boy’s chest. At this action, he could feel the blood rush to his cheeks, a crimson blush spreading across the bridge of his nose. At this, he could feel his heartbeat rapidly increasing. Damn, he hadn’t felt that before.
Unknowingly, he felt his own orbs glance down at the girl, acknowledging every feature from her hair to her toes. Hm, perhaps he should stick with this girl for a while. After all, if any girl could make the silent Pokémon Champion feel things he’s never experienced before, she was worth taking a chance on, right?

Ah, thank you so much! Actually, I was planning to, but I'm only really familiar with Ethan's personality, and not the previous Gold personality. So, I'll probably just go for the personality I'm more familiar / comfortable with, if that's ok with everyone else! nvn/
