the HTF girls and especially Giggles are sorta special to me
well Idk how to put it but HTF marked the first time I ever saw a show where the boy characters and girl characters got subjected to the same amount of violence, and Giggles was the first HTF girl I saw getting her ass handed to her so

HTF was one of those shows that just kind of stuck to me since I was a young child (without any understanding of what was going on tbh) so all the characters just kind of hold a special place in my heart. It's one of those shows where even if i join other fandoms (like currently) HTF will always be something that i enjoy drawing and watching, especially the girls. Idk if it's because there were so few female characters or for the same reasons as you but they always were the most interesting to me.

And it's cool cause like you said, whether they're a boy or a girl (or neither/in between) they all get their asses handed to in equally horrible ways, even characters that are believed to be "impossible to kill" or "shouldn't be killed" (like Flippy due to his dangerous second personality or Cubs).

I think I developed a fondness for Giggles because I REALLY didn't like the people that disliked her. They always seemed to have had super petty and super shitty reasons to do so.ย

Almost nothing (especially couples) were canon in the show and if they were it was mostly only for one episode so it never made sense to me when people were so harsh on her because of something so harmless saw her do :/ย

but that's not even the LIMIT of it. They hate her simply for being paired up with more than one character. They call her a "slut" for it. Calling anyone or anything a slut for any reason fictional or not is fucking irksome to me
and I'm also kind of mad the storyboarders and writers seem to have reduced her to a prop girlfriend because that sucks too
and then speaking of ships. There's that ONE fUCKING SHIPT that's everywhere and I'm kind of tired of it because it feels like it eclipses everything else about the show??
and then there's the way it's depICTED ugh some of it is creepy.
though, apart from that- most ships get a pass by me. The only ships I feel in any way negative towards are THE DREADED SHIP (you know what it is!), Any hetero ship involving a certain green shitbear, and... there isn't a third thing. that's about it.

Man really? God i didn't know it was that bad, honestly i never really check the actual fandom, i just create my own work but godamn that's really shitty.
Also yeah that's what I hate the most? They simply reduced her to a character used for solely hetero romance related things? Like not even a different interesting episode about her, and while i don't have one problem with someone having multiple relationships it's really bothersome when they're only used for just romance and no.
And then she get's shitted on because of said multiple romantic relationships thing (and yeah trust me i really hate it when people call ANYONE a slut) and that's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard, but unfortunately it isn't much of a surprise for me as every single female character that has more than ONE relationship with any male character get's the almost instant title of "slut".
While about the ships, eeeeh i never pay attention to them and usually stay on my own ship lane, like i said i don't check the actual fandom often, if any I only check it for references and inspiration. I've shipped a lot of ships in the past but rn the only really romantic ship i have is Petunia and Giggles :0

Well I like browsing for Relevant Content and I search Happy Tree Friends regularly in hopes of it so I get exposed to the fandoms habits often.
The only ships with flippy in that I favour are all the homo ones
