I think bons remakes are better o: all I'd criticise is the AO in the engineer pic its too dark but it overall still looks better than the original and it's "night sky" which doesn't even look like nighttime

I honestly preffer the originals, the remade ones look too oilish and lack of color or brightness.

I honestly think the originals are too colourful and bright, the engineer scene for example, itβs supposed to be night time yet the sky is too bright and too coloured, a night time sky is 99% pitch black

It seems like sunset to me. You know, sort of purple-ish sky not being too bright Β or too dark.
They're still too oily though, and TF2 isn't meant for realism.
It's more for a cartoonish feeling, trying to make it realistic in SFM when it comes to matetials it's rather silly.
Maybe in Blender, because you an adjust the specular maps, bumpmaps and many more at your pleassure and you have way more freedom to edit said materials and even the shape of the model.
SFM? Not a goddamn chance.

I didnβt try to make it look realistic all I did was do my own style of lighting and colouring I donβt get whatβs the issue here

i didn't edit any of the phong, its just how my lighting placement allows for the phong to lookΒ
