I made this the night before my first exam, so I didn't have much time to spend on every detail, but I hope you're gonna like it
Critiques and suggestions are welcome as always and especially now, since its my first time making meteorites, so don't hesitate to share your feelings about it

I like it. I was reading a few of the comments, and the one about the clouds caught me....maybe you didn't intend for it, but if you look to the far right, there at the edge, there are some clouds that have a kinda mushroom look to them.... Maybe, just maybe, that is where the HUGE main meteor/asteriod hit or is even about to hit, and the pieces we see are the fragments from the main body, and the clouds on the whole right side are some of the clouds from the main body? Just a thought.... That's just how I see the picture. Maybe it didn't work exactly how you liked, but look at the small, over looked details, and you can rework the story just a bit.... I have to do that sometimes....

This image needs some more than just a small rework of details. I've made the necessary shots, and I just need to sit and patch it up, but being the end of the semester in University, I really don't have much time for art.

Ah, the swarm of particles that broke away...well, Actually I started them, but when I saw they'd take me another hour or so to make them look good, I gave them up

The meteorites look a little strange....they look like tentacles or something that are coming from the cloud! You should have a trail blazing behind the meteorites, but not one that connects to the cloud. After all, it is a long way from the upper atmosphere to the ground! You should leave a flaming spot or hole on the cloud where the meteorites entered, but don't have that spot "connect" to the meteorite in any way!
I hope that this is the kind of critique you wanted!

Now, I am not sure what you mean when you say stock, but if you need a reference there is a movie that comes to my mind. It is a Disney movie and it is computer animated. The movie is called Dinosaurs. There is one scene which you might find useful and it is near the beginning of the movie.

Хм...не виждам сблъсък с вода...но може би имаш предвид експлозията долу на десния метеорит? Ако е така, то пръстените на ударната вълна съм ги разцъквал на фотошоп (първоначално като кръг и после ги изкривявам перспективно
