-Biology Notes-
the Valarus, one of the apex predators recorded on Haven, and one of the more dangerous creatures on the plant. these t-rex size monstrosities roam the far north mountain regions of the planet, on the high mountains, trudging through the snow filled rocky landscape, patrolling territories, hunting for Piggles and other creatures that live on the mountains, as well as fending off rivals to their own territories. reports on these creatures never place them any where else on Haven, other than other high mountain ranges. but because Haven is 80% jungle and forest landscape, with very little open fields, there are only 5% regions across the planet that support mountain ranges. which make these large reptiles one of the rarest creatures on the planet.

like other apex species on the planet of Haven, the Valarus are also blind and are void of eyes. some researchers are coming up with a theory that the most powerful fauna on Haven are blind, but in compensation they have extra-extradentary abilities. as to how they see, they emit a low humming ping, like echolocation, but its not simply sound waves being projected. this 'ping' is more of a sonic wave with a magnetic flux, allowing it to pick up the planets own magnetic field to see the landscape in a more vivid detail.

for the Valarus, they have built in biological furnaces which sustains an incredibly high body temperature to combat the cold, and other abilities that make them an apex predator species. now in terms of gender identification, males are the only ones to have crests on their snouts, and fins on their tails. another feature that is seen some other creatures, are large luminescent sacks and bulges, all positioned on their front torso around their neck. these sacks and bulges produce chemicals that circulate throughout their bodies, which keeps them warm, as well as fuel their signature ability.

-Valarus Capabilities-
attributed to their large size and stature, Valarus's are incredibly strong. their physically powerful enough to rip an Earth Research Center to pieces, using their muscular claws, and stake-like nails which can carve through rock. aside from their strength, their scaly hides are thick and durable, which aids in both keeping the cold out, and keeping themselves insolated. their entire heads are made out of a bony chitons like structure, and is durable and strong enough to bite through metal, despite their narrow jaws and mouth spikes. their mouths are also filled with lots of razor sharp teeth that can slice through virtually anything that isn't heavily armored.

but the Valarus's main weapon is their complex, yet powerful, flamethrower capabilities. their bodies comprise of several organs that are mostly external, which converts some of their digested food into chemicals that are akin to napalm, or even petroleum. when being used for other than keeping their body temperatures at a high level, they can pump this chemical fluid to their heads, where the chemicals are filtered through a special nasal canal before being let out through the large hole on their faces which are ignited be special heating pads lining the 'muzzle'. when expelled the chemicals turn into a vibrant blue fire, which can roast anything the size of a Centorga or smaller to death in under a minute.
