Description It's been far too long since I've last messed about drawing Tess (well, except for that holiday picture) so I figured it was time to draw her again. I also gave her a new hairstyle, once that sort of reflects her powers. Her hair slightly stick up a little more because of electrokinetic abilities, but at the same time giving her more of an intelligent and stylish.

As for a synopses oh her character, she is seen more as an aspiring designer and inventor, always thinking of new ideas that she would dream would become a reality. Devices, functional clothing, you name it! It's something she dreams of doing one day. It began with being able to charge a simple gaming handheld device to later taking apart old electrical devices to see what makes them tick.

Tess is more of a creative, laid back, common sense kind of gal with a love for electronics. But after hanging out with Ella and Red for so long she can sometimes open up and be a little more energetic. She also picked up a few fighting moves, because how else are you going to burn all that energy and look out for her friends at the same time.

And an undone artpiece of kecomaster 's Sandra elastifying Tesla, who may not get to handle two things at a time, since rodriguis ' Elastine, Elasteel, and Larissa are the only ones to do so.

The Pear devices, I guess someone's a DanWarp fan, or it's just a coincidence.

Okay the appearance of Pear products is starting to remind me of some other shows like iCarly, Victorious and Sam & Cat, especially the latter because of the in-joke made during an episode

Electric abilities and inventing stuff seems to mesh better than I thought. Cool to know more about Tesla this time around. Love the ''Apple'' computer she is using.

BTW I never seen that pic at the bottom right. Wonder what's up with that.

Something that was on Tesla's mind (that and an old drawing that I did).

Having hanging out with Ella for year, as well as meeting a few other elastic girls, she has always wondered what it would be like to have elastic powers herself, and seeing what's so great about it. Ella tells her about a certain elastic girl that has that power to grant Tess' wish with just one touch. She also informs her of her mischievous ways too, making Tess a little hesitant about this, thinking what the end result would be.

Well, about the "Apple" computer in the drawing: it looks like that in their world, Tesla & her friends don't use MacBooks, but "PearBooks!" lol *snicker*

Y'know, after reading 's comment, I have to agre.Β  A little highlight would bring so much life into this piece.Β  I know in anime and manga that they take out the iris when the character is drugged, tired, or something that should be amiss about the character.Β  I'm sure we all (the fans) get that you did NOT mean it like that ...

When I work with the eyes of my characters, I often do a headshot before I start working out the rest of the character, even doing a cleaner version without the eyes to be sure I have it all laid out before going back in and working things through.Β  For me, it can be admittedly a hit or a miss, but more often than naught, that extra step and patience is rewarded well.

I made some changes to her eyes. I tried to go with a more subtle approach to how I wanted to add the pupils. I think is looks pretty good with them. ^^

It's so incredible to see Tesla designing and redesigning costumes for her friends/teammates for so many years. I wonder how her older sister's talents (besides weather powers) could compare with Tesla's.

Ah, does this mean she's the one who designed the Omegals' costumes? Judging from those diagrams, I'd think so.

My only quibble about this, and the previous character arts, is the absence of pupils and highlights in the eyes.Β Β  For me, it kinda takes away some ofΒ that "spark of life" out them.Β  Other than that, I do like the natural feel to Tess's pose, and the normality to the whole setting (like the design sheets spread all around her on the bed).

I was sort of going back to the idea of how I drew the eyes before after looking at some other illustrations that I saw that sort of did the same thing. I was going for more of a simplistic look. Though I haven't been able to make them as dynamic as I wanted them to be.: fav.me/d4p97qs

I was just trying it out again to see how it would look now. I'm still playing around with the idea. Sometimes when I do add the pupils I sometimes I feel that I either make them too big that they almost take up a lot of space in the iris, or too dark. And that little shine that I add along with it sometimes feels a little too light. I may go back to how I did the eyes before, only this time try to be a little more subtle.

Gotcha.Β

Well, nothing wrong in trying out new things, or revisiting old styles.Β

It was just something that suddenly clicked in my mind as being different looking from what I'm used to with your cast.Β  Β
