Joy's Note: Last month, I heard that Newgrounds was holding a Dreamcast Collab based on various Sega games, such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Space Channel 5, Bomberman, Samba de Amigo, and more. Since I'm a fan of Sega's games, especially Sonic, the collab gave me an idea for a new drawing.

For this fanart piece, I decided to draw two female characters from well-known Sega games: Amy Rose and Arle Nadja, from Puyo Puyo. I chose these two characters because they were pretty easy to draw. I also wanted to go for Ulala from Space Channel 5, MeeMee from Super Monkey Ball, and Gum from Jet Set Radio, but they're a little more challenging, so I decided that I would draw them another time.

The Dreamcast Collab mainly focuses on games that were released for the Sega Dreamcast. However, since I do not have a Dreamcast, I'm not sure whether or not a Puyo Puyo game was released on it. But, it is a Sega franchise, so why not? After all, the art style is pretty simple and cute, which is why I like the character designs.

As for Amy, I drew her because she's a pretty fun character, with her cute design and her cheerful attitude. Although she tends to be a little too obsessed with her crush Sonic, she has a pure heart and will not let anything stop her. That's why she's one of my favorite characters in the franchise.
