I just watched Holly Jolly Secrets Pt 1 & 2 this morning, and it really sadden me. I would have never imagined that Ice King had actually been human, much less have a fiancee. And to think that he spent so many centuries alone, slowly forgetting his humanity.WHY PEN WHY!!!! I gotta say, Adventure Time is one of the most adult cartoons I've ever seen in cartoon network.
There will be second part as well. Drawn/colored in SAI.
So this picture is my ode to Simon Petrikov.

Yes, it all kind of got real...serious-ish in that episode. Like a punch to the face of randomness, wich is almost everywhere in Adventure Time. I have watched his last tape over and over, and it's always the same messed up feeling I get when I see it...Super awesome.

That was an utterly heartbreaking episode. Especially when it came right after the goofy parts and really bad cover versions.

Heh, I was too busy wondering when that worm in the ads and everybody else were going to show up (incredibly false advertising, there) to have even a chance to consider getting some Ice King backstory. It totally hit me by surprise.

I cared since the episode where PB melted and became possessed. How he saw things and knew that he was loosing his humanity and couldn't do anything about it
