Description
Testing out the same palette from before, but this time tinkering with it on The Legend of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. Modified a bunch of sprites and applied colors and all that. Couldn't quite get the desert sand how I wanted it and ended up having to add a color to my palette for some more subtle shading. It's still a work in progress and has some weak spots. Figured I'd upload this since people seem to like them.Photoshop CS6. Tablet. The tiles are really...inefficient as far as having them be a tileset would go. Was more concerned about testing color combinations than anything else.

There was actually a SNES version of Zelda 2 used to test the consoles hardware but sadly the updated version was never released. A shame though since it's one of my favorite games, and your edits look quite nice.

Oh man, a SNES Zelda 2 would have been amazing, especially as a tech-demo of sorts. All the Mode-7 stuff, palette changes, scrolling backgrounds, room for NPC character dialog. They totally could have packaged some Zelda games like they did for Mario All Stars. Oh well, at least the original holds up and nice and sharp (if limited by their frugality for data space).
True Story: I once got stuck because I forgot you could use the hammer to knock down trees on the overworld (there's a certain hidden town you have to find that way). Otherwise, seriously, a great game. Carry on.

Yeah by far it's my favorite Zelda game tied with Majora's Mask I really want to see another game done in the sidescroller style, afterall Myamoto even said he felt they didn't take it far enough.
Ah yeah They should have had a random NPC mention the tree things since that's how I made it through most of the game XD
