Well, kind of...it's just I hated how Tite Kubo handled his own manga/anime property. ...Well, actually, I don't think it really is his fault, per say. Shonen Jump DID rush the CRAP out of him. So...SJ had some hand in it. I mean, they were trying to rush Oda into finishing the Whole Cake Island arc to go to Wano. I think he just straight up told them "EFF NO!", because I heard that arc ended recently?
(By the way, DON'T tell me what happened in One Piece so far! That goes for everyone! I haven't reached that far, and I'm still reading the manga(I'm in the New World saga where they're in Punk Hazard.)! D: )

My point was merely that if you truly stop caring about a franchise, you stop caring about all characters and dynamics. If you care about even one character or pairing, then there are clearly still some feelings left, however slight. That's all I'm saying.
Japanese working culture isn't really one where you can say "fuck no!" to your editor, even when you are as big a player as Oda. A lot of the supposed "info" about what's happenning behind the scenes at Shounen Jump is based on Internet rumours from anonymous message boards, so I'd advise you to always take it with a heavy grain of salt. Kubo's own decisions contibuted heavily to the general loss of interest in Bleach too: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACq7tg… But I'm not really interested in discussing that, since it's all finished anyway.
I won't spoil anything regarding One Piece. I will however say (since you asked), that the Whole Cake Island arc hasn't ended yet, neither in the anime nor the manga.
