Motivation: Originally she took up hero work to be useful; to do something she felt was genuinely good. After becoming a continental leader and all that’s happened since, she’s in too deep- she’s tired and hurt and grossly under qualified for her position. But it’s not like she can just bail, Emi feels a great deal of obligation to grow stronger and more competent, for her friends, her fellow leaders, and for Sam. She wants to do right by his memory and what she set out to do in the first place; help others. Maybe with a lil justice seeking on the side.
Miraculous Pair: She has no true pair that she knows of but she often teams up with Snowbunny!
Typical Heroism: She usually works in crowd control, search and rescue, communications, etc… civilian safety is her primary concern. Though she is incredibly fast and works fine as a decoy if need be, Bombini is terribly squishy and not fit well for real combat.

Personality:
She’s sweet like honey! She’s very soft and compassionate, she cares about her friends and family above all. Though at times she can be a bit of a worrywart, she prefers to love people quietly with small gestures and lovely moments in each other's company. She’s definitely the type to put other’s needs in front of her own and tends to internalize her issues and struggles, shoulder everything on her own. She’s pretty sensitive, quick to cry and easy to fluster. For sure a people pleaser and a bit of a pushover, she doesn’t trust as quick as she used to but she still has a difficult time saying no to people she cares about and is probably way easy to take advantage of.
Bombini is a bit louder, definitely more confident and more outgoing than Emi. She tries her best to be optimistic, even in more difficult times. She has a bit more of a backbone than Emi, but it’s still not much. She cares so so strongly and deeply for her work and her fellow heroes but lately has been prone to keeping others at arm’s length, afraid to lose more people she grown too close to, afraid to let them down. Though, underneath all that the incredibly soft and kind Emi is still very much there.
Background:
Emi grew up in a small home outside of the city in the Osaka prefecture. For most of Emis life her mother has been very ill and they weren’t super well off so her dad was often away at work in order for the family to get by. She ended up being something of a latchkey kid to be honest. With her parents getting older and a deep fear of ending up a financial burden on her father, Emi set off overseas to live with her eccentric aunt in the US and attend university. All in hopes that she’ll land a good job and be able to one day support her family. She works at her aunt’s flower shop but with her out and about doing god knows what Emi practically runs the place at this point.
The bee miraculous was gifted to her by auntie Haruno who found it in a strange new antique shop downtown. Though startled at first when meeting Pollen and reluctant to go out and use it, she’s busy enough between work and uni already, but she eventually warmed up to the idea of heroing. Everything she does is to please others because she feels it is expected of “Emi.” Being Bombini was a choice she could make for herself, a chance to help others because she actually wanted to. She never did plan to be anything more than a fun neighborhood hero, that is until she met a mysterious stranger in the reflection of a shop window.
Kwami Name: Pollen, the kwami of subjection

Brief Kwami/Miraculous History: After the final battle of Paris many miraculous were mysteriously scattered, so it’s not exactly clear what became of the bee miraculous in the years leading up to the hair comb coming into Emi’s possession.
Kwami's Personality: Pollen is a generally formal and polite kwami. She’s obedient, submissive, and respectful towards her holder. (Emi isn’t into the whole “My Queen” thing and encourages her to be a little more open and for herself.) Despite this, she still will speak up against something when she thinks it’s necessary. She can be very kind and compassionate, often helping Emi through some of her toughest times.
Other:
She’s very clumsy! Her legs are so long and she tends to trip often. She’s a bit of a klutz at most things save for her florist work.
She loves to bake and experiment with new sweet flavors! Most of the time she bakes for her team and her fellow leaders, might go a lil overboard sometimes.
- She especially loves to use floral and citrusy flavors (they’re her favorite!) Her desserts probably turn out too sweet most of the time, no one really has the heart to tell her.
One of the main ways she learned english is by watching old sitcoms. She, unfortunately, likes Seinfeld unironically.
Bikes everywhere!
She’s a business major.
Being so far away from home, she’s often very homesick and doesn’t have a chance to talk to her parents often.
- Though they call from time to time but her father isn’t into technology and insists they send each other letters, rather than texting or email.
Huge mom friend! Can be a lil overbearing sometimes but if she cares about someone she Will text them often to see how they are, if they’ve eaten, are hydrated, slept well, etc..
Her laughs are very cute! Sometimes she snort laughs, will for sure start crying if she laughs too hard.
Wants to garden so bad! She tries her best with the space she has but her apartment is Not Huge.
Very "save the bees" all the time she'd take up beekeeping if she didn't live in the city.
Honestly just very passionate about nature and preservation in general.
Bombini can’t fly per se but can kind of glide, she’s got very good mobility and speed.
She's roommates with her best friend Valentine, aka Snowbunny! She's been teaching him how to work at the florist with her.
