same here, i've never met anyone who likes queens of the stone age. my parents listen to them all the time, and it would be so so awesome if you did a map to "no one knows"

I hope I'll use this song in some AMV or other project in future, so I wouldn't use it in MAP.
But I was actually thinking about choosing song from "Lullabies to paralyze" and making psychodelic MAP.. but I'm afraid QotSA is too heavy for others..
Well, I also thought about using Placebo or Interpol song for a MAP so I bet it'll take me some time before I'll finally choose something ^w^

Yeah, unfortunately QotSA is too heavy for some, I remember my parents saying to block my ears when they listened to some songs when I was younger. Since I'm a lot older now, the themes and lyrics of some songs don't bother me at all.
I was actually considering doing a MAP to "If I Had A Tail" but I kinda abandoned that thought. Right now I'm considering on doing a MAP for a Muse song (cause Muse is hella rad) maybe Supermassive Black Hole, Survival or Knights of Cydonia.
Also, quick question, do your parents happen to have a similar interest in music as you do?
(I'm asking this because my parents are huge alt/rock fans)

I have to warn you: some Muse's songs are blocked on YouTube, that's why I haven't done anything to their music yet. Aww, I want to make Supermassive Black Hole AMV, but I'd like to show the results to my watchers... I really don't want my animations to be blocked in most coutries.
Oh well, my dad's favourite band is Metallica, he likes bands like Motorhead or Megadeath, but he also loves band as The Black Keys, (we wanted to go to their concert togrther, but they canelled it agrhaksmoa) Muse, Kasabian, Placebo.
My mother likes alternative too (also adores Muse) but she prefer calmer sounds like OneRepublic or Arctic Monkey's AM album.Her favourite artist is Chris Cornell.
So yeah, my parents have different preferences; my dad likes heavy and my mother calm music, but hopefully they both like stuff I do (I can go to every concert of every band I like because they want to go there too, haha).

INTERPOL IS AMAZING OMG
Yeah, unfortunately some Muse songs are blocked, which really sucks. I'll try and find one that's hopefully not blocked.
My parents like the same bands, except my dad likes mostly more intense rock than my mom (my mom actually LOVES Muse, and her favourite album is Black Holes And Revolutions) But that's how I got interested in alt/rock music. I actually have three friends (one of them is on dA) who have similar music interests as me, but don't listen to the same bands. Like we all listen to Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco but neither of them listen to Muse or QotSA or Interpol, stuff like that.
I'm also very passionate about the music that I enjoy, yet I'm a bit... idk I guess you could a little reserved about it? Because like I go to a school for only girls and literally EVERY person listens to bands like 1D or 5SOS but then there's me and my two friends. The one I talked about earlier who listens to fob and one who really likes all kinds of music.
So like if someone in my class (who's not my music friend) were to ask me what I was listening to I kinda wouldn't know what to say, because I don't listen to the same kind of music that they do. So that's why when I meet someone (either irl or online) who has similar music interests as I do, I'm like "yess I KNEW I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE."

My mom likes "Absolution" the most, I'm not able to choose. ;w;
My friends are mixed. Some of them listen to pop, some to rock, some don't listen nearly at all. My best friend's favourite bands are BMTH and Three Days Grace, but she used to listen to rap music before she met me! I'm lucky, because I don't have anyone in my class who listens to JB or 1D... except one girl but I talk to her pretty rarely and she's not that big fangirl as some.
But yeah, music is really importat to me... I love it more than everything in life. I'm also the only person in my class.. well.. probably in school as well.. who buys albums. I try to have at least one album of every band I adore.
Some of my buddies still can't uderstand the way I treat music. I sometimes treat it like my best friend or something.. Ahh, I'm strange person, ignore that ;-;

Yeah I have a lot of friends who listen to 1D but then when I meet someone who likes my kind of music I'm like "THAAAAAANK GOD"

tbh The Sticks is my favourite album from them.
They're not too mainstream, like QotSA, which is why not many people listen to them. I've never seen someone who also enjoys Mother Mother and Queens of the Stone Age.

Oh, when we were talking about families I totally forgot about my brother! He's thrasher, so he prefers much more havy sounds. He even plays on bass guitar in a band! But he dosn't mind listening to my music as well..

I actually forgot about my sister and brother whoooops
My sis listens to the typically mainstream pop stuff and my brother doesn't listen to music at all (and I often ask him how he lives without music).
I actually have a HUGE list of bands I grew up on which includes bands like Kings of Leon, Black Keys & Mumford and Sons.
My friend from school listens to different bands than I do but our interest in music is still pretty similar.
